Stayed at Emerald Lake Lodge and, quite frankly, you are a captive audience. There really isn't too much else around even if you leave the property, so make the best of it. We had breakfast in the Mount Burgess Dining Room twice during our stay, and had dinner in the Kicking Horse Lounge just across the lobby one night (same dinner menu in lounge, just no reservations needed). The food was good, but pricey, and the service was sporadic It seems like they hire a lot of young people from around the world to staff the busy summer season, and food service & waiting tables may be a new experience for them.
