The setting takes your breath away - the room, the lake, the mountains, the woods and the lodge. The management has tried to keep a very rustic feel - to seem that you are visiting a by-gone era - yet the rooms are elegant, well appointed and comfortable. Coming back to our own fire place after a day of hiking as well as being able to enjoy the outdoor hot tub, a gourmet dinner and such a beautiful room view of the lake. It was a great stay and well worth the splurge. The staff is exceptionally accomodating.

it is a wonderful location and it was great to be staying on the lake with the amazing view particularly after the day visitors vanish and you have it to yourself. We really enjoyed the hotel and the food, while not cheap, was very good. Our room was lovely and even in August, it was great to have a real fire. The rooms are spacious with generous balconies ovelooking the lake. My only slight criticism is that the rooms are looking ra bit tired and the furniture a bit battered and could probably do with an update. Overall however a great place to stay and would recommend it.

My wife and I have wanted to spend a couple of nights at Emerald Lake Lodge for years and we finally had the opportunity to do so the first week in October. We had a very enjoyable stay. We reserved the room through the Lodge's website. Noted a special package promotion ($205/night on a week night inclusive of all taxes) for a "lodge" room including free breakfasts. The room was in a building overlooking the lake. There were four separate rooms in the building and we were on the second floor. The resort consists of about 33 separte buildings which include all the accomodation. There is no accomodation in the lodge building itself which includes the restaurant, lounge etc.

We enjoyed our room. The bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable. There was a wood burning fireplace and balcony. On the property there is an outdoor hot tub with a great view of the mountains for the use of all tourists. The restaurant was pricey with a very selective menu but we knew this in advance. There is free use of the internet located by the billiards table.

The walk around the lake is spectacular. We really enjoyed our two days at Emerald Lake Lodge and it met all our expectations.

We had a great time at the lodge. The setting is stunning! We were able to get a good promotional rate ($217 including breakfast for 2) and had a lakefront room with a balcony. We enjoyed having a balcony, using the fireplace, etc. The room was very comfortable and clean. There were some maintenance items to be taken care of...ie. the tub was in pretty rough shape and the door fixtures and paint were tired. At our rate I have no complaints, but if I was paying $400 would probably expect a little bit more. The breakfast was nice, but one morning had to wait a while as there were 2 large groups that had just come in before us (one of them being the owners family and all her girlfriends...) The service overall was very good and the location just makes for a perfectly relaxing getaway. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was 400 dollars a night. The carpet had stains on it as well as a large worn spot where the door scraped a large arc into it. The couch was stained. The reek of mold in the bathroom was heavy. The tub had a large chip in it. No food was included in the price, but the restaurant was very good. It certainly is not a high class place for what we paid. I would class it in the budget hotel range with the price of a first class hotel. The scenery is lovely, but that is free. Was told there was a handicapped room. It consisted of a ramp. The room had no bars to assist in use of the bathroom facilites.
