While touring Newfoundland and Labrador in summer 2007 we had the good fortune to have stayed at Hotel Robin Hood, owned and operated by Graham Hutchinson. The hotel is located at 78 Lincoln Road, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL A2A 1N2.
Our room was comfortable, and the very modest room rate made the value seem significant. What created the lasting favorable impression was how friendly Graham, his wife Clare and their son Adam were to us in the short time we were in Grand Falls-Windsor. Graham and his daughter Emma, whom we did not meet, are heavy into photography. The hotel lobby has an extensive collection of their work on display. Being an avid digital photographer myself, I spend quite a bit of time talking to Graham, and looking at his beautiful photos.
Graham recommended that we consider having dinner at Teri’s Place located in the hotel. We decided to try the restaurant and we didn’t regret our decision. Teri, the owner, greeted us
personally and served us as well. Her husband, Sean Malthouse is the chef. The meals were to die for ... we would go all the way back just to have another meal!
All in all, our stay at Hotel Robin Hood and our meals at Teri’s Place left lasting impressions, and were highlights of our eleven day visit to Newfoundland and Labrador.
