We just returned the other day and had a great time despite a major storm that ripped through the area and left us with no power for the majority of our stay. We enjoyed sitting on our lake view balcony in our Muskoka chairs watching the storm roll through and sitting there all night while we waited for the lights to return to the area. When the power went out we went to the front desk and asked for something to help in the dark and were gladly given a strong glowstick that came in very handy toward the late night. The market in the lobby was also a great asset once we realized that we could not get dinner anywhere with no power. Overall we had a fantastic stay. The room was huge an cleaned spotlessly. The guest services desk was always kind and helpful to us whenever it was needed. We had a fantastic getaway!

I visited for a corporate retreat and stayed for three nights and four days. This hotel is brand new and in perfect condition. I had a spacious and clean room with a view that overlooked the lake. The hotel is tucked within one of Lake Muskoka’s many beautiful bays, making it perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view, or swimming off of the jumping rocks at the point. Our entire group really enjoyed the nearby spa, the steamboat tour on the lake, the amazing surrounding golf courses and the variety of restaurants along the boardwalk. I have nothing but praise for the entire staff at the hotel, who treated us like guests at their family cottage, rather than clients at a corporate hotel. I look forward to visiting again.

Location
The wharf area just a 5 minute drive away from the main city centre of Gravenhurst and minutes away from Bala and other Muskoka towns like Port Carling. You can rent motor boats from the marina and access the other lakes in the area. There is no beach in the wharf but there is a small beach in the town of Bala.

Rooms
The rooms are brand new. The kitchen had a fridge microwave, small stove, coffee maker, and dishwasher. The bathroom was large and in great working order. We had a flat panel TV that swiveled so you can watch it in bed or in the living room. Balcony was great to sit and watch the sun rise in the morning. The room also had a pull out couch that we did not use. Everything was spotless.

Food
The room included breakfast. The breakfast was good but very crowded. We did not have lunch or dinner at the hotel.

Staff
Friendly.

Amenities
Free parking, sauna, bbq, pool, and fitness centre.

We were there during long weekend at the beginning of August and stayed in a 2 BR suite.
Pros: Located on Muskoka's Lake Wharf right on the lake. There are simple but decent restaurants right near the hotel -- Boston Pizza and Regatta steak house. The former is decent value and service for pizzas and similar. Canoe/kayak rentals right on the spot. The hotel itself is brand new -- pleasant furniture in the rooms; clean kitchens.

Cons: two days in a row we had to remind the front desk to provide shampoo after room maids forgot to replenish it. The toilet paper they supply is 1 ply just like in a youth hostel. Some of the rooms don't have any view at all but the pricing is just the same as lake view ones. Water flow from the shower was very weak. The indoor pool was very small and overcrowded.

As of this writing, the hotel is probably no more than a month old. The facilities are clean and new. The indoor pool and hot tub are a blessing on days where it rains. The breakfast isn't anything overly spectacular, but it's free and there's a good variety. The staff are super friendly, polite and accommodating. While there are not that may photos of this new place online (or reviews for that matter), we took a leap of faith and stayed here, and I can say it's been a very good stay.

This hotel is situated on the Wharf at Gravenhurst. Right beside a boat museum, and a short walk to a spa, variety of restaurants, farmer's market and steamboat tours of the lake. We rented a 2 bedroom suite, with full kitchen, two baths and balcony for ourselves and our daughter. While it doesn't give you the 'feel' of being at a cottage, it has it's creature comforts without dealing with any cottage 'creatures'. Quite frankly, I would bet it's possible to rent a boat, and keep it at one of the 3 piers nearby.

There is room for improvement - the staff could provide a better idea of what tours, events and places are nearby for families and guests or the hotel could coordinate with local businesses to offer daily excursions (for a fee). I had to search quite a bit to find out what's going on. Someone suggested visiting the local chamber of commerce here in the town for information on what's available. So that may be a route to go.

As for this hotel - we've had nothing to complain about. it's clean, new, modern, in a good location and comfortable.

We were totally delighted with our stay at this new and well appointed property. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious and well laid out. Breakfast was included and had lots of variety and was plentiful. We look forward to returning as often as possible.
