My husband i went to this hotel this weekend to celebrate our 2 year anniversary . I got to say its a very nice and clean hotel. The staff was very friendly. Our room was one bedroom suite and had a lovely view of the lake. We loved how the room had a kitchenette. The balcony with the two Muskoka chairs overlooking the lake was amazing we loved sitting outside.

We will be back to this hotel again for sure!!!

Room Tip: top floor is the best!! t

I recently had occasion to meet three friends at the Residence Inn Gravenhurst Muskoka Wharf. We arrived on a Monday for two nights and stayed in room 517, a two-bedroom suite. We had a great view of the bay, balcony with chairs, full kitchen, living area and two separate bedrooms each with their own bathrooms. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable. Service at the front desk was great and for the price we even had full hot and cold breakfasts! A really good deal! The only downside was it was off season (end of May) and so many of the "good" restaurants weren't open. We had dinner on the first night at the beautiful golf course across the road -it was ok -worth going to for the architecture of the building. But we found a gem of a restaurant in Bracebridge called One Fifty Five -I highly recommend it! They make all their food on the premise -pasta and even ice cream! Delish!

Room Tip: Go to the top floor for a view of the water.

Hotel was clean and brand new. It's a Residence Inn so you have the expected full kitchenette, free breakfast, plus a BBQ and outdoor seating. The best part was the balcony with two Muskoka chairs overlooking the Lake Muskoka wharf. If you want the lake view, make sure you ask for a room in the back of the hotel. We were room 524. There are not alot of dinner restaurants in Gravenhurst. But be sure to check out Sunset Grill for all day breakfast and even Boston Pizza. You can walk to both and they have great outdoor decks overlooking the water. Bracebridge has a bigger downtown and is only 15 minutes away.

Room Tip: Request a high floor at the back of the hotel overlooking the wharf for a great view. But check out...

We recently spent three nights for a romantic getaway and it was wonderful!

OUR ONE BEDROOM LAKE VIEW SUITE with a King bed, a sofa bed, a gas fireplace and a balcony was located on the northwest corner on the top floor. We were in suite 502 and it was clean, spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. It was really quiet; we never heard anything from the other suites. The free high-speed Internet access was really appreciated.

OUR LAKEVIEW was facing west so we had the pleasure of enjoying beautiful sunsets from our large private balcony. The view overlooked the Muskoka Wharf Marine, so we could see boaters coming and going, which was fun to watch. The only downsides were that part of our view was of the parking lot, that the patio door to the balcony was in the bedroom, and that we couldn’t enjoy the lake view from the living room. NOTE: There are west and east facing lake views. Some suites have lake view balconies that are connected to the living room.

THE FULL KITCHEN in our suite was really appreciated since we did all of our cooking during our entire stay. There was a microwave, a dishwasher, a full size refrigerator that made its own ice cubes, a full size oven with four burners, a coffee machine, a toaster, a small and large cooking pot, four place settings (utensils, plates, bowls, glasses, and wine glasses), paper towels, a can opener, a bottle opener, two oven mitts, a peeler, and measuring spoons. If something is missing, don't hesitate to call Front Desk - they are really helpful. NOTE: Not all suites have ovens, but I believe they all have stovetops.

FREE GROCERY SHOPPING SERVICE is offered. We didn’t use it, but, apparently, all you have to do is fill in the Grocery List and then leave it at the Front Desk by 9AM to assure same day delivery. The grocery costs will then be billed directly to your room. NOTE: They offer a complimentary hot and cold breakfast every morning. That being said, there is no bar lounge, no room service and no restaurant in the hotel. We didn't mind because we had bought everything we needed. There’s a Sobeys, an LCBO, a Beer Store, and a few restaurants nearby.

THIS HOTEL IS PET FRIENDLY, which is great if you want to bring Fido along (they charge a non-refundable sanitation fee). NOTE: As far as I know, they don't have assigned floors/rooms for pets, so if you have allergies or don't like pets, it's something to consider.

THE ENTIRE STAFF blew us away! Lindsey at Front Desk and Tanya from housekeeping, among others, went out of their way to meet our every need. Everyone that we encountered was very courteous, friendly and efficient.

We would definitely recommend this hotel for a lovely getaway, thanks to its beautiful rooms and its amazing staff.

This far exceeded our expectations. Front staff and breakfast staff were excellent. Room was spacious and clean. View from room was gorgeous. Kitchen area with full size fridge and stove top was great. Bed was comfortable. Furnishings were modern and stylish. The breakfast in morning was large with many selections both hot and cold. Pool was clean and temperature just right. I would recommend highly.

My husband and I were extremely excited to get out of the city and enjoy a relaxing weekend, especially after reading all the rave reviews of the hotel. When we arrived, we knew we were going to have a great time! The front desk receptionist was incredibly welcoming and nice (side note: they offer dish washing detergent, free of charge, when you ask). The room was very clean, and the kitchen was nice so we could stay in and cook for ourselves. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good.

The view from our Queen Lakeview room was beautiful and didn't want to leave at the end of our weekend stay. We would definitely return!
