When reserving a table for seven the woman on the phone said "the table's kinda small, so pardon me for asking but are you big people or little people" - quite endearing! All of us small bummed folks had a great meal with friendly service that you'd expect from this town.

We weren't sure where to eat in Lunenburg and stumbled across Magnolia's - what a delight! We had fish cakes and scallops and they were absolutely the best we've ever had! The bread was wonderful, the salad dressing was incredible - no complaints about anything! I wish we lived closer to go more often!

We had the Lobster Linguine and Mussel Linguine and both were delicious! Meal started with warm, freshly made bread. Glad we didn't get appetizers because the serving size was large and it was so good we ate every bite! The only fault that we had was that they didn't carry Nova Scotia wines, which we had really enjoyed throughout the province.

Ate here on a cold windy May afternoon. Started off looking around at the artifacts hanging about, interesting. Not most comfortable seating, but the food.makes the place worth a visit. The meal was a hit and a miss. The hits were the clam linguini and Creole peanut soup, both among the best of their kind. The miss was the Asian slaw salad, pretty to look at and certainly a gigantic portion but did not do anything for me. I left most of it. And the Key lime pie was wonderful. Service was attentive and very friendly. I give high marks to staff that see an empty botttle and take it away. How often does this simple task not get done?
Oddly, they do not carry the provincial Jost winery products, but sell foreign imports. Too bad, the Jost products are really very good.
A good experience.

Order the Lobster Linguine, and make sure you have a big appetite! And if you have room, the Key Lime is as light as a cloud.
