We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Mariner King Inn in Lunenburg, NS! Nice variety at their continental breakfast, free parking, helpful staff, and just a block from the harbour. What I couldn't figure out...What do we do with NINE pillows on the bed?

This was my first time to stay at the Mariner King Inn despite visiting Lunenburg several times in the past. Now I know why the sign always said No Vacancy! The room far exceeded my expectations and the staff was absoloutely wonderful. We brought our your daughter with us and every effort was made by the staff to make her comfortable as well, which is rare when travelling with a 2 year old! I would recommend staying at this inn to anyone and plan on returning!

Me and my husband stayed in the honeymoon suite and I must say it was the most wonderful weekend we had in a while. The suite is just amazing, very comfortable and cozy. The Inn is well decorated and we really enjoyed the evening in Parlor playing chess. Inn manager Ian was wonderful, very friendly and helpful.

This is our second stay at the Mariner King and it lived up to its reputation as a 4.5 star. Loved room 105, and the Lunenburg bump! Have been recommending the Mariner King for years and will continue. The Manager Ian is a great help as well.

Room Tip: Rooms 105 and 302 are terrific!

For our trip to the Maritimes my husband and I decided to book only B & B's. We knew our trip had to include Lunenburg and I was thrilled to find the Mariner King Inn through a search on the internet. Upon our arrival we were thrilled to find that the Mariner King Inn far exceeded our expectations in every way. The inn was beautifully and comfortably decorated and our every need was met. Exploring Lunenburg was absolutely a highlight of our trip and we loved learning it's history and seeing some truly amazing sights and meeting it's lovely residents. Our return to Lunenburg would absolutely include a stay at the Mariner King Inn because of it's inviting ambience and warm welcome provided by the staff.

Room Tip: The best tip I can give for room choice would be that if you are travelling with a lot of luggage a...

We have stayed here 2 times in the past, and we are itching to return when we get the chance. We love the decor, the unique maritime building colours, the modern amenities (iPod docking stations, energy efficient rooms), and the staff were very kind to us. However, the most outstanding is what the chef does for breakfast (included in your overnight stay fee, I might add). The dining area is quaint, laden with beautiful continental fare, and we are given a short menu of excellent hot breakfast items. It's nice to see the same chef year after year - it means that he's doing it right and people are returning.

We also love the city - lots of great restaurants and shops to visit, and a great walk along the harbour.

Highly recommend this vacation spot!

Room Tip: We stayed in the green building - the Candy Apple Addition above the kitchen store. Very quiet, mode...

Having stayed at excellent five-star hotels in such places as Paris, Rome, Madrid, London, Moscow, Maldives, etc., we came away highly impressed with the Mariner King Inn and the town of Lunenburg.

The town is beautifully quaint, and the ambience of the Inn is very charming, very authentically old-world, very serene, while the staff is attentive to detail and friendly, yet unobtrusive.

Not only were we completely satisfied with own suite, which was everything we had hoped it would be, we can attest to the highest quality of other suites at the Inn, most of which we got to see as part of a little tour kindly given to us by the Inn's manager.

Although the time of our travel to Lunenburg wasn't ideal (mid November) and a lot of the restaurants were closed for the season, we still enjoyed the wonderful unseasonably warm and sunny weather, the beautiful natural and historic sights, and got to see the Inn and the whole town being lovingly decorated for Christmas.

Thank you, the people of Lunenburg and of the Mariner King Inn (particularly Ian, the manager), for making us feel not just as tourists and paying customers, but as truly welcome guests in such a magical place!
