“Five star experience”

Atlantic Sojourn is the best run B&B my husband and I have ever experienced! Susan and Sebelle are amazing hosts where any request is handled with speed and graciousness. Everything inside and outside the house is done with the highest quality in mind. The breakfasts are made to order and delicious! It is in a very convenient location and Susan and Sebelle are very knowledgeable about everything going on in the area. They can give you great directions to anywhere, provide restaurant recommendations usually with a sample menu and are willing to do anything to make your visit to Lunenburg a memorable experience. We highly recommend staying with Susan and Sebelle at Atlantic Sojourn if you plan to be in the Lunenburg area!!

  • Liked — Everything very high quality and run in a very efficient manner.
  • Disliked — Traffic noise was a slight problem.

The service offered by Sebelle and Susan are second to none.
My partner and I have stayed in many B&B and hotels on our travels and this is the best experience we have had.

Sebelle and Susan give you with a warm welcome to their elegant home and introduce you to the facilities of the house. You are offered tea and coffee and home made cookies throughout the day, a fantastic choice for a delicious, home cooked mega sized breakfast and a beautifully clean, well equipped, elegant bedroom/ ensuite with seating area. Their knowledge of the area is varied and extensive and what ever your chosen route they can highlight things that should be seen and suggest the best places to eat.

Their B&B is in a very good location only a few minutes walk into the centre of Lunenburg.

They made our 3 night stay in Lunenburg unforgettable. Two very warm hearted, genuine people who only want to do their very best for their guests. Great value for money... you would pay double else where.

They are listed as 4 1/2 stars which will drop to 2 1/2 stars because they do not have TV or telephone in rooms, but so what... the B&B experience is a high end, 5 star superior experience.

Try it out and you won't be disappointed. They provide an experience difficult to match.

  • Liked — A beautiful accommodation, great location, excellent home cooked food and outstanding value for money.
  • Disliked — The accommodation had no negative points.

I am sure we all have a favorite Aunt, whose house we always just loved to visit ! Well for me this is the feeling we got when we had our stay at the Atlantic Sojourn Inn, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. From the moment we arrived it was like meeting close family that you had not seen for some time. Susan and Sebelle the owners greeted us at the door with cheerful smiles and a musical "Come on in" . It was like they have known you for years. Upon signing in we were ask to choose from a fairly wide selection on the morning breakfast menu. From hot and cold cereals, eggs any style, waffles, pancakes, french toast, fruitcups, juice, coffee, tea just about everything and anything one would want to have for breakfast. Once you made your choices you were asked at what time you would like to be served. Which was anytime between 8:00 and 9:00 AM. After that was finnalized it was time to tour the Inn. Sebelle and Susan have just completed a total remodeling of their Inn. Everything is spotless clean and fresh, there are beautiful pictures on the walls as well as many flower arrangements. The Inn is very tastefully furnished and a real pleasure to be in. We were taken to our room, which was at the head of the stairs, ( The Lupin Room ) it was very tastefully appointed and very spacious compared to some B&B's we have stayed in. Again extremely clean with crisped linens on the bed and a choice of four evening robes to wear ( two light weight and two heavier ) There was also a sofa couch/ pullout bed that could be used for an extra guest. The bath was equipped with a shower, sink and toilet. The shower was supplied with a dispensor of soap, shampoo and conditioner. Lots of Towels. Although the room was not air conditioned there was a whisper quiet fan on the ceiling which did an excellent job of moving the air around and keeping the room fresh. The Inn is situated on a fairly busy corner and when we first arrived thought it may cause some trouble for sleeping. But Susan and Sebelle thought of that too. New windows had been installed and are very sound proof and made the room very quiet when they were closed. But later at night when traffic settles down ( usually around 9:00PM ) I would advise you to open them again and let the sound of a very distant fog horn lull you to sleep.
Would we stay there again? In a Flash ! Would we recommended it ? You bet ! We would stay at the Atlantic Sojourn Inn because it is like being with family and that is the way you are made to feel, so how can you get better than that.
So thank you Sebelle and Susan for a most enjoyable stay, and we looking forward to returning again sometime soon. From your ( wish we were ......... Neice and Nephew.........but not )

All the Best

I highly recommend the Atlantic Sojourn. The owners, Susan and Sebelle, lovingly care for the house and their guests, and the rates were very reasonable. I stayed in a corner room, with windows along both exterior walls that really lit up the room. The bathroom was huge, with a tub and an array of oils and bubble baths. The full breakfast served in the dining room was excellent. Susan and Sebelle were also very helpful in giving me recommendations for enjoying my short stay in Lunenburg. For example, I am an amateur photographer and they recommended places to photograph that no other guide book or web site had mentioned. The B&B is located just outside of the main historic district, but it's a very short walk or drive and I actually prefer the location to the town center because it's in a very quiet, shady neighborhood.

  • Liked — Beautiful home with great room and huge bathroom, friendly and helpful hosts, very nice breakfast.

My wife and I stayed at this B&B while traveling through Nova Scotia. We had a wonderful experience. The inn keepers made us feel at home. This B&B is bright and very clean. The made to order breakfast was truly home made and delicious. We have stayed at many B&B's around the world and this one rates as one of the best.

The innkeppers Sebelle Deese and Susan Budd were very nice and friendly. The inn was very well maintained. The B &B is small with 4 rooms. All rooms are the smae price. Durring the summer season, it was $100 CAD, which was a great deal!

We stayed in Lupin Room which had a very nice bed and a sleeper sofa. There was a bathroom and shower off of the room, which looked to be added in the last few years. The bathroom was nice, but very small. there are no TV's in the room but a common room with a TV and DVD player.

The B& B does not have AC, which is not really an issue in Lunenburg, but we stayed there when it was hot, so we open the windows and used the ceiling fan.

The B & B is located on a busy street corner, so you do hear some street traffic.

The breakfast was very nice and was cook to order.

The location is not in the heart of town, the downtown area is about a 10 minute walk.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
