“Pretty room, great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2009

My husband and I stayed here one night in July 2006. The owners are laid back, and very accommodating (there was a family staying there who bought fresh lobsters to cook at home--and Fay and Michael gave up their kitchen to them!) The house is Victorian. Our room (Blue Room, back of first floor) was beautifully decorated, and nice bathroom; it poured the whole time we were there, but the room was cozy. Breakfast was very good--eggs, pancakes, fruit. Great location--we were able to walk everywhere. We would stay there again.

Myself and my daughter stayed here for 4 nights and what a wonderful time we had. Pelham House is beautiful, really homely and Fay and Michael and the lovely pets are very welcoming. I'd highly recommend Pelham House if you decide to visit Lunenburg. The breakfasts were fab and different everyday and healthy too! Its great that you can make drinks throughout the day. Overall we found Pelham House to be extremely good value for the superb location, decor, food etc. We will definately return - sooner rather than later!

  • Liked — The decor, food, location, hosts and lovely pets!

We stayed for two nights and loved the place!
Fay and Michael run a great B&B.
The room was great, bed was very comfortable and room decor was exceptional.
Breakfast was excellent!
Drum (the English Golden) is such a sweet dog, so well behaved and as laid back as any Nova Scotian.
We would highly recommend staying.
Thanks Fay and Michael for a great holiday stay.

We stayed at the Pelham House for two nights of our tour of Nova Scotia. We had Room #4, the blue room, which was very spacious – at the back of the house on the first floor. There is a small sitting area on the deck outside of this room. The location was great in that we could walk virtually anywhere in town. Fay and Michael were exceptional hosts. They serve a full breakfast. They have a beautiful dog and three cats – all very well behaved. We ate dinner at the Rum Runner (Fay’s suggestion) our first night there, and it was so nice that we ate there again on our second night. Be sure to take the short drive to Blue Rocks Fishing Village. It is extremely picturesque – and uncrowded! Lunenburg is very close to Mahone Bay, which is another lovely coastal town. We were able to attend the Wooden Boat Festival in Mahone Bay while we were there.

  • Liked — Lovely Spacious Room

August 2, 2004 we spent one night at the Pelham House. This was our first time at a B&B and it was absolutely wonderful! We stayed in the "Blue Room" and it was beautiful. The home is extremely clean, well kept and in a great location. Breakfast was amazing and consisted of ceral, toast, fresh homemade muffins, fruit cup & a scrambled egg/potatoe pie! Unlimited coffee, orange juice, tea. Fay was very friendly, helpful and we truly felt welcome in her beautiful home! We would stay there again in a heartbeat!
