This must be without doubt one of the best B&Bs I've stayed in. The quality is top notch starting from the rooms, the location ( literally a 10 min walk to the waterfront), and the breakfast.
Lorne and Janet are gracious hosts and I really enjoyed my time there.

We've stayed here twice, once in the summer and once in the winter, in the Kingfisher room and the Dragonfly room respectively. Both were beautifully done up though the Kingfisher room was a little more special with its whirlpool tub.

Upstairs rooms are quieter though we still had good sleep downstairs. Website depictions of rooms were accurate. If anything the rooms were nicer than expected.

Hosts are lovely though it seemed that Lorne was the one who did most of the operations stuff.

Food was great. Healthy, plentiful, flavourful and they had good coffee.

The location is in a more residential area a little away from the town itself thought it's a walkable distance. The only problem is a lack of sidewalks - though Nova Scotia drivers are typically considerate of pedestrians we appreciated having a car. Lunenburg itself is charming and worth a visit wherever you end up staying. We enjoyed ourselves both trips, even being hit with a winter storm one night during out winter trip.

Alicion is a beautifully restored B &B in a quiet area of Lunenburg.
The service from Lorne was excellent and the room very comfortable. We most enjoyed relaxing on their wraparound deck just enjoying the serenity of the grounds.
Lunenburg has loads of shops, restaurants and pubs and the town itself is fabulous just to walk around. The breakfast was excellent and we will definitely visit again.

My wife and I were married in Lunenburg in August. As we we had a smallish (30) person wedding, we held the ceremony on the grounds and could not have asked for a more perfect day. Lorne and Janet the proprietors were extremely helpful and accommodating and the room itself was perfect. We had a delicious breakfast that was fresh and thoughtfully prepared. We would not hesitate to stay there again and enjoy the wonderful surroundings and expertly run B&B.!! p.s. while in town you MUST eat at Trattoria Della Nonna, it is off the hook good!

The moment you walk through the door the peaceful athmosphere of the house gives you compete relaxation, like coming home to your parents. The bathroom and the room was immaculately clean and very tasteful. Breakfast was very heathy with lots of choice and freshly made. It was very comfortable to use the guest computer and printer. One could make tea and enjoy free film and books. Usualy I don't write a review for aplace I like so much, because next time you want to stay there they are always fully booked then, but as we haven't got the opportunity to go to often to Canada from Germany it would be unfair not to write about this fantastic B&B.
