“Great Camping & Hiking”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Great camping, hiking, boating
Good outdoor recreation for day trip or weekend or even longer. This park is very close to urban areaa for shopping, etc. but you would never know it. Parking for boat trailers is somewhat limited so it is best to arrive early for this activity.

“Best Coast Beauty”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Golden Ears Park is a beautiful Provincial Park an hour's drive from Vancouver. So much to see and do! The water park and picnic area at Maple Ridge Park is at the base of the park. Alouette Lake's beach area is great for days by the water, with picnic tables and a protected swimming area. There are small boat rentals and a motor boat launch. Deeper in to the park, you will find horse trails and hiking trails for all levels. The hike to Lower Falls is a wide, easy trail along the river that takes about 45 minutes. The beauty of the falls makes it well worth the trip! There are multiple campsites, but plan to book ahead in the summer as the park fills up.

“Nature at its best”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Golden Ears park has a bit of everything for everybody. You can hang out on the beach and swim, go boating (sail, power, canoe). There are picturesque trails for walking or more serious ones for a heart-pumping hike. You can climb mountains, even stay up on top if you so desire. There is horseback riding during the summer months through mountain trails and beautiful forests. On top of all that you can camp!
My family has spent a lot of great times in this park. It is a fantastic place to take your family for a get away while still close to the city. Also a great place to be during meteor showers because you can see so many more.

We live in the area and visit this park many times throughout the year. I love that it is so close to everything. Beautiful park. Make sure to check out the lower falls.
