This was a surprise find. A power walk to start the day and there it was-and old church filed with baked goods. I only had a coffee (starbucks) but spent twenty minutes considering the baked goods and the calorie cost. I resisted somehow but it is truly a tough test.

Me and my daughters took our canoe from the JW Marriott to get some bread and goodies. Very tasty. The kids especially enjoyed the cheese bread. This year when we go back, I will defy my wife and get a loaf of the bacon bread.

Kristi and her staff looked after our car club with amazing grace. We literally swarmed the place with over 40 cars at once (about 75 people) and every single comment made was positive.

Who doesn't love a bakery, right? Now add a fasinating story about the building itself, place it on a lake in Muskoka add tenderly prepared baked goods with a smiling, friendly staff and you'll have Abbey's.

Thanks again,

Miatas of Muskoka

I've stayed at a villa just past Clevelands two years in a row and just discovered Abbey's Bakehouse. It might have been there last year or it may have just opened. Regardless, what a fantastic place. The smell of the bakery overwhelms you as you enter in through the heavy front door. The blueberry muffins may well be the greatest muffin humanity has ever produced. Pies are a delight although you can get the same thing up at Port Sandfield in the store. Starbucks coffee! We also tried one of their quiches, which are very nice as well.

If you're on a boat, and you're on Lake Rosseau, head out here. It's just past Clevelands house, very convenient.
