Description: One restaurant, two experiences; the Bistro-Bar of La Forge offers a seasonal menu, with something for every taste, for lunch and dinner. The atmosphere is welcoming and the bar is right in the middle of the big room… from which you can admire the mountain and ski slopes on one side and on the other, Place St-Bernard in the centre of Tremblant’s pedestrian village. On the second floor, The Grill of La Forge offers truly excellent cuisine. Specializing in meats grilled over maple-wood coals, it provides the charm of yesteryear both on your plate and in the luxurious décor of wood, leather and wrought iron that makes the atmosphere so warm and lush. An amazing wine cellar, awarded the the Prix Excellence from Wine Spectator (2 glasses) awaits you.

“Best meal in Mount Tremblant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2012

This an expensive outing, but worth the splurge. The interior is very rustic and there are mountain views. We went with our family of four and there were many other families (some with very young children).

Great staff, tried to find something for everyone in group. Son had ribs, looked good, great hamburgers, and drinks

“Excellent Fast Meals”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2012

The meals both upstairs and downstairs - which were different, were excellent and quickly prepared, so the skiers could get back out on the slopes as soon as possible.
The cost of wine upstairs is not worth the extra expense.
The only real drawback is the washrooms, which are down in the basement. They have one handicap washroom located on the first floor, but for skiers in ski boots trying to walk down possibly 3 floors this is not a satisfactory set-up.

“Couldn't even get name on list with hostess”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2012

My husband and I tried to eat here for lunch during a busy ski day. After the group in front of us was seated, we waited at the hostess stand for about 10 minutes with two hostesses right in front of us. They never even acknowledged us, greeted us, asked how many in our party, even with us talking to each other about wondering if we were in the right place to get a table (we obviously were, we just wanted to discreetly get their attention to take our names). They just chatted with each other in French about something not seemingly work-related (we're completely English-speaking) until another group came in the door right behind us. The hostesses looked right over our shoulders, promptly greeted the new group, and asked how many people in their party. We were so mad we just left. The hostesses didn't even try to apologize for overlooking us/ignoring us. I wouldn't try to go back, even if my only alternative was to sit in my hotel room and eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
