Sylvie and Pierre are your hosts, and Pierre is well into deep discussions if you get him going!
The accommodation is good - though we paid for a superior room and never found out what was superior about it. It was room 2, and the size was the same as the standard room 7 our friends had. There are other superior rooms which are larger.
The bed was comfortable (as are all Canadian beds in our experience), and Pierre's breakfasts were excellent. How did he conjure up four omelettes together? Suffice to say we didn't need to eat again until the evening!
Although we were out of (ski-ing) season, there didn't seem to be many vacancies at the Le Lupin - some indication of its popularity. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble - we were in the habit of having our own gin-and-tonic in the evening - and there was Pierre with ice bucket and glasses!
I can only concur with other people's accolades - a lovely place to stay.

Room Tip: Avoid room 2 if you book a superior room!

This was an anniversary trip for us and what a wonderful experience! Pierre and Sylvie are hosts extraordinaire! Pierre would say “it’s all about you, the guest,” and meant it.

How do I even begin to describe those breakfasts? We would begin with juice, coffee (press or espresso) or tea, muffins (like cranberry, apple, dulce de leche, etc.), plus a bread or bread pudding (pumpkin, zucchini, raspberry, etc.). And then, . . . after all that, . . . Pierre would describe the choice of “main course”—a sweet (e.g., waffles, French toast) or savory (omelet). What a start to the day. He would even pack up some leftovers that kept us happy on our hikes through the national park.

Loved our room. It was right off the main area, very large, with its own private fireplace and a private entrance from outside. Large full bathroom. We enjoyed an evening by the fireplace in the common area.

Sylvie was great about orienting us to the area and advising us on where to hike and where to eat (try the Grille in St. Jovite). Pierre was well-versed in American current events and history and we enjoyed all our chats with him. They even had two very sweet and well-behaved dogs (Wheaton terriers)—that filled a void I was feeling, missing my own two at home.

For us, the location was just right for our October visit. We were close to the many “Mont Tremblants” of the area: the ski resort and pedestrian village, the beautiful national park, the town itself, and the old town (formerly St. Jovite). Our interest was mainly hiking and exploring the natural areas so we were happy. There was even a nice short walk at the end of the street to a park and waterfall.

My only regret is that I didn’t take pictures of the place and our room—but I see that other travelers have taken care of that here!

Room Tip: Our room just off of the main lodge was great. It had its own fireplace, private entrance, and a large bath, and was bright and sunny. Pierre offered us a choice of 2 rooms that were available that day and we liked this one was best. He said the only liability might be the closeness to the lounge area if other guests are using it, but we had no problem with that.

We, family of 4, stayed there back in 2011, i was looking for an accomodation for next year and saw the recommendations only to temember i forgot to share our experience. Well indeed nothing was too much, Pierre did take the time to talk with my husband (and he too can talk), the breakfast was simply delightful. We had booked two bedrooms so the kids would share a bed. We asked if there was a spare room and Pierre kindly gave us an extra room for a very small fee.
Nownthe matresses...simply the best bed i have slept in and i have travelled extensively...i will be back...caroline from Perth Australia.

Recently, (oct. 5,6,7) we stayed at Le Lupin for our wedding anniversary. What a special experience! From the welcome to the au revoir, we were treated like family. The hosts Sylvie and Pierre are two wonderful people, who know what they are doing and doing it right ! They make you feel at home with a very well kept auberge. The rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfasts simply perfect and the large living room with the fireplace invites you to relax and enjoy life. We will return to appreciate this place at it's fullest!

Room Tip: Ask for the "grand confort" rooms

Trusted TripAdvisor on this one, and were definitely not disappointed!! Our room was spacious, yet cozy, and our breakfast presentation was only surpassed by the taste of the food!! Visiting Sylvie and Pierre is like visiting your own family....even the dogs are pleasant! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a 'home away from home'! Wonderful!
