To be truthful, we read a lot of negative reviews about Sauvignon prior to trying it out in the summer of 2013. We found the food generally very good, but with inconsistent service. But we ate there several times over that summer and were mostly pleased and found the prices to be very reasonable. Dining there last night, however, took it to a new level of excellence. We started with the daily salad, a generous serving of mesclun spring greens and spicy arugula which we shared with an order of escargots...both scrumptious. Then we shared their daily fish, pistachio crusted cod, and the braised short rib. Both were prepared to perfection, the fish flaky, tasteful and moist. The beef like butter. The desserts (included in the Table d'hôte) were also excellent. And our female server was attentive and efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant at all.
