“Terrific staff, location and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2013

We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite which was spacious and comfortable. The staff were all so pleasant and professional. The sauna and the outdoor hot tub were just the thing after a long ski day. Our room overlooked the slopes. There was a bit of noise from the groomer at night but turning on the fan seemed to help. The location right in the pedestrian village is terrific, walk to so many great shoppes and restaurants. Parking is extra, so be prepared but it is not too $. One of our best hotel stays ever really, and we have stayed around the world.

Room Tip: We loved our room 350 overlooking the slopes

This was our second visit to Tremblant in 9 years. Our first stay was at the Fairmont so I guess our experience must have been slightly coloured by the comfort there but really, not being Russian billionaires, we have no real need for all that opulence on a skiing holiday and we settled for the Homewood Suites.

Reception and the rest of the staff were all gracious, friendly and helpful. The laundry lost a pair of my trousers and I wasn't convinced that much was being done to locate them, but they did arrive quietly in our room a couple of days later.

The suites themselves are comfortable enough. We didn't use the kitchen, which seemed well-stocked. The bedrooms were nicely-appointed and clean, and beds were comfortable. A minor gripe was that there was no space available for the person/people on the fold-out bed in the sitting area to store their clothes which is important on a ski holiday with all the stuff we have to bring.

The bathroom, however, was disappointing, especially given that the Homewood Suites are hardly a low-cost option in Tremblant. Of course one has to allow for considerable wear and tear, especially in a hotel occupied by families with children, but the fittings were cheap and shabby, and really not up to the standards set in the bedrooms and elsewhere. The over-bath shower was deeply disappointing in terms of pressure and temperature and, especially in this day and age, a shower curtain (instead of a screen) meant the inconvenience of having to mop up the copious amount of water on the floor after showering, even when care had been taken to try and stick the curtain to the wall. I found this surprising and sub-par. A heated towel rail would be a welcome addition to the bathroom. Given the level of comfort at home, we were surprised that a suite that is supposed to sleep up to 6 adults contained only one toilet.

Further, the soundproofing in the room, which overlooked the main square, was almost non-existent. Fine during the day, in fact we had a great view of the après-ski bands, but it did go on until quite late on a couple of days and we were woken on occasion by the noise of a few revellers in the small hours.

Breakfast was abundant, if lacking somewhat in finesse, but fine otherwise.

Ski storage was functional, but basic.

I liked the amenity of the washing machines, which is very important for guests from overseas with a small Air Canada luggage allowance, but it is very difficult to come up with the 10 x 25c pieces for every wash and more for the drier. Perhaps a change machine could be provided in the laundry room to help with this?

Overall, it was fine and quite comfortable but perhaps did not represent particularly good value for money.

Room Tip: Odd numbered rooms have a great view of the square but are probably more noisy because of this.

Another great time at the Homewood Tremblant. Will be there again and again.
Can't ask for a better location right at the ski hill. Fireplaces also make it sweet
Suites make you feel like you are at home. Location is prime with everything out the door.

My wife and I came here for our honeymoon and we couldn't be happier. After a long day on the mountain the hot tub is a must! The breakfast was good and the service was very attentive. Would stay again and would recommend.

Location was amazing. We also really enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. We did a lot of skiing. The only problem was that our room had rats and we had to move to another room. Apparently the hotel staff was aware of the issue. They also didn't clean our room each day.

Super location. Great staff and accommodations. We went for the spring skiing Easter week 2013. The entire mountain was open for the weekend and most of it for the weekdays. The slopes gave lost of variety for the entire family. The town provided good places to eat and drink. My wife liked the shopping.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the slopes

Location- couldn't ask for better saw the review saying it wasn't a ski in. It is you just use the other door. All amenities easy walking distance. Accommodation - we stayed 10 days in a one bed suite which was lovely and on the 4th floor you get a vaulted ceiling which makes it seem really big. Fire place, two large flat screen TVs, comfy beds, large bathroom all nice and cleaned with fresh towels every day. Facilities- hot tub is great, sauna, ski room with free locks you can take away, everything such as DVD player, brollys, security box will be lent free of charge. Underground parking is12 dollars a day but worth it. Food - breakfast is good plenty of choice, as much as you want and from 7-10. Afternoon snack is okay but I would go unless you are there already. Staff- couldn't do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble. Area- go to the village it's much nicer food than in the pedestrian village and doesn't have the same taxes. It's about 7 miles away. There is lots of choice in the village though Catherine's was the best there though by a mile. If you are going from Europe unless its a special occasion as it was for us go to Austria it's a third of the price. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit though.
