“Started off bad, got better - but noisy”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

Having stayed at Tremblant somewhere on the mountain every winter for over 20 years - we thought we would give the Homewood a try. We reserved through Tremblant reservations and booked 2 suites, 4 nights. Called the day of travel to confirm that we were coming and that we would be arriving after dinner. Upon arrival, we were told all the loft and den rooms had been taken and we would have one with a murphy bed in the living room, and a pull out. NOT good! We have 3 teens and this was going to be a problem for 4 nights. Only after a significant amount of complaining (did I say rage?) did the manager find a suite that was what we had reserved (and paid for! in advance!) for the remaining 3 nights. The worst part was the staff at the front desk blaming Mont Tremblant reservations for this error and me for booking through them! WOW!!
The location is excellent, the rooms are adequate, the breakfast is sufficient - but the check in experience - not so good, to say the least.

Because the location is right at the top of the pedestrian village - it's noisy as people are going back to their hotels.
Skiing was good - conditions were well groomed.

19th Jan-2nd Feb.
Travelled on a package with Inghams, second time to Tremblant , last time 10 years ago.
From the moment we arrived minus one of our cases(care of BA) the reception staff were excellent and very helpful.
Initial suite was lovely with a reasonable view of lake, but after 2 days heating ceased to work properly but we were moved without any problems to a similar suite overlooking square.
Suites were kept well serviced and our housekeeper was excellent, even unloaded our dishwasher for us if it had finished cycle.
Breakfast was good 7-10am though as other reviewer said did run out of bacon once after 9.30 but supplied ham instead.Cooked option varied daily.
Welcome home snacks Mon-Thurs 4-6pm were quite substantial, chilli , thick soup ,pasta and quiche.
The spa consisted of a large outdoor Jacuzzi-lovely when it's snowing and a sauna but the changing area was a bit odd- 2 shower rooms.
The appartments are self catering, local bus is $2.25 each way to St Jovite and Metro supermarket has return stop outside.
Eating out in Tremblant can be very expensive and the on site supermarket is also very expensive.
SAQ winestore has reasonably priced wine.
It was very cold the first week (as low as -35C)so some lifts were closed because of the wind on one side of the mountain was piercing but we could still access most of the mountain. The upside was the snow conditions were excellent. Unfortunately weather being what it is it rained in the middle of the second week but skiing was ok and almost back to normal by Friday.Obviously this has no reflection on the accomodation.

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking the square.

We (3 adults) stayed in a one bedroom suite Hilton Homewood in Mont Tremblant from 25 Jan to 1 Feb 13. The suite was booked via a skiing package through Inghams. The room were of good size and relatively well fitted, although the pull out sofa mattress had seen better days. The breakfast was okay, but key items such as bacon (on the two days we were there when they had it) ran out before the breakfast time had finished. There is a ski room, where ski and boards can be stored and locked; the locks supplied by the hotel can be used elsewhere in the resort to secure skis whilst eating etc. The necessity to secure equipment became all to apparent when we inadvertently left a pair of ski gloves in the locker room and they disappeared!

A word of caution if you are thinking of planning on skiing at Mont Tremblant, the resort is very much geared up for the weekend traveller, thus during the weekdays a number of lifts do not run and snow making is limited, we lost at least one days skiing, during the week because of this bias. Also there can be vast differences in temperature, whilst we were there the temperature changed from – 26C to + 13C and back to -20C, with the attendant impact on the pistes.

We stayed at this hotel for three days with a family of 4 - our friends have recommended the place, and they go here for 5 years in a row. This recommendation, it turned out, was well deserved.

The first things for the ski hotel is the location - and you hardly can be closed to the lift at any other hotel, literally a few steps. We were upgraded to a loft room with a view at the square, and it was a spectacular view - they do not remove the Christmas decorations, so it still feels very Christmas-y. The rooms have a working fireplace, where you can burn those artifical logs (buy them downstairs or anywhere else). The heating system was not excessively noisy, although if you leave it on for the whole night, it may get a little hot on the upper part of the loft. The room and the whole hotel looks clean and new, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Parking costs $12 a night; Wi-Fi is free and does not limit the number of devices. The breakfast selection (included in rate) is good and changing slightly every day, which is a nice touch. As in most places, you cannot bring the ski to your room, and you have to leave them in a locker room (the locks are provided free of charge).

For once, I do not have a single negative thing to say about the place. We will be back next year for sure.

Room Tip: Depending on what you like best, you can ask for a room overlooking the square or the mountain.

Our second visit. Nice for families pretty quiet and clean. Easy parking and good complimentory breakfast. Should be back next year. Everything works and nice hot outside spa even in cold winter. The small kitchen is great for little families for a fast supper. Large TV and working fireplace ( buy logs in lobby)

Year after year the staff of Homewood Suites makes our family of 5 winter vacation memorable. From the smooth check in, to the buffet style breakfast and snack. (Marc and Anne wonderful attention here). We have seen the other hotels in the village and still can't imagine staying anywhere else in Mont Tremblants pedestrian village area. 2 included meals, ski lock loan, included wifi (Internet) and more. Finally I have mentioned her in previous reviews as well, but Gaby.....The different areas you work and for taking care of anything we needed in our suite (440), your above and beyond attention with the guests really stands out and makes a difference. Merci Beaucoup.

Room Tip: We have stayed in a Loft each year with a growing family of 5.....full kitchen for those slow cooker...

This was our 3rd visit to the Homewood Suites and we were not disappointed.

we had previously stayed in a 2 bedroom suite but this was not available for this visit. Instead we had a 1 bedroom with a loft, and found this to be perfectly adequate. The suite was spotlessly clean, of a good size (we were a party of 6) and well equipped, the only minor downside was that the sofa bed dipped in the middle.

The inclusive breakfast is very welcome and has something for everyone. Even though the hotel was full for 2 nights, we could always find an available table.

We made ample use of the superb hot tub, which is absolutely huge.

This is our 7th visit to Tremblant and we will definitely be staying at the Homewood suites next time.
