This restaurant came highly recommended by the owner of our B&B, Le Pimbina. We went on a Saturday night. I had a house salad and my husband had the Lobster bisque to start. He said it was wonderful. We both had the hot stone experience for our main course with 4oz. filet mignon and 3 large shrimp with sides of veggies and sauces. I had the creme brulee for dessert and he had the tiramisu. The french pressed coffee was wonderful as well. We had never tried the hot stone baking at your table before. Great concept and was clearly popular as every table had at least 1 or 2 people doing it. Healthy way to prepare your food and you eat more slowly and feel full faster so you don't overeat. The sauces that came with it were extremely tasty and the service was fantastic. The town of Saint Jovite is very cute. Wander the shops before dinner if you have time.

This as the place for people who want something above the average same stuff menu found in too many restaurants. Step out and order the "PIERRADE" which is cooking at your table on hot lava rock. All the food is excellent but this is different.
The staff, wines, service are also excellent, but it is not a place for young children.

A very charming little restaurant with a very friendly staff. They were very helpful with the menu and helping us choose the right wine to have with our meal. Their specialty is meats that cook at your table on a hot stone, we didn't have this but we saw it at the table next to us, it looks really cool. We had a fondue for two, it was great but filling. The menu has a good variety and there is definitely something for all types of eaters. In the end we didn't order a desert because we were stuffed but they all sounded great.

We've come to C'est La Vie for over 6 years: almost every winter that we've come skiing in Tremblant. This is not a place for families with small children: too "intimate" and physically small. But for romantic dinners, nights out with friends and dinners with teen kids - this is a perfect spot.

We came in with a party of 7, including 4 older teens - all were looking forward to returning to this restaurant.  The main attraction for us is the fondue: variety of flavors and sizes, it can be enjoyed as an appetizer or main course. We got exactly that for an appetizer for all, which also included a garden salad we shared, as well as garlic bread.  The garlic bread was mediocre.

For the main course, the 17 and 18 yr old boys got a kangaroo dish, which they had to cook on a hot stone. It came with potatoes and veggies, and a variety of sauces. They enjoyed the experience and the meal. But no one at the table enjoyed the French Onion soup: it lacked complexity of flavor, was quite "watery", and instead of being smothered with melted cheese, it was simply topped with a slice of toasted bread with some shredded melted cheese on top. Other main course selections included apple-goat cheese-nut salad (very good); large Caesar salad (ok), and vegetable soup (nice). We didn't want to fill up at 8 pm, after draining a very rich and yummy fondue.

Must say the service was so-so: our reservation table was set up and waiting, but follow-ups and refills were hard to come by.  We had to call, wave and literally reach out for passing servers to get their attention.

We'll give it a go next year, to see if they make it up to 4 "stars".
