We stayed at Le Grand Lodge for 2 amazing and very peaceful evenings. It is so refreshing to find accommodations that are pet friendly and don't penalize you for bringing your dog. As seems to be the practice these days, we had to pay $25. a night for our little 8 lb. dog. However, we didn't mind....at least we had a nice room! Our experiences prior, when hotels tell us they are pet friendly and charge us extra for our dog.....we end up getting the worst rooms, and a booklet of don'ts for pet owners, but not the case here. We had a beautiful 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom, full kitchen and living area with a fireplace. Complete with a walk out and amazing view of the Lake! Just like being at home for the dog. Lovely walks around the grounds and down the road makes it perfect for pets! The breakfast buffet was delicious. Terrific service from all workers we had contact with. Looking forward to staying there again some time soon.
PS - We gave a 4 star for value only because we really are not fans of having to pay for our pet, who is housebroken, and non shedding. We realize it is the practice across the board, but still don't have to like it. I have seen and heard children that are worse behaved then our pet, but they are free of charge. Just saying :)More
