We recently booked a few days at Mont Tremblant which included ski rentals and lesson package. When arriving at the base of the hill, there are no signs indicating where to go to pick up rentals, passes etc. We went to the rental shop at the base and waited in line. When we got to the counter we were told that we needed to take the gondola to the next level and pick up our skis there. We went to the next level and entered a rental shop. They told us we had to go across to the other side where there was another rental shop. We entered the rental shop and they told us that we needed to fill out a form for the rentals. When we got to the counter, they told us that the form wasn't needed as we had registered online. Then we were sent to the rental fitting area and got our rentals. We couldn't find a place to put our boots so went back to the rental counter who told us that we had to go to another counter in the rental area to check in our boots and get claim tickets. When we went outside, there were no signs indicating where the ski lessons were. We asked someone in a Tremblant ski instructor jacket where to go and they sent us to the base of the beginner hill. We we got there, we were told that we were at the wrong place and they sent us to another area. When we finally arrived there (1.5hrs after we arrived at the hill), we were told that our lesson group had already left. At least the guy said that he would take us to catch up to the group.
All in all, it should not be that difficult to figure out where to go for lessons, equipment pickup etc. Given the hefty price tag for lift tickets, lessons and rentals, they should have an information booth or information people at the base (outside) where people can ask where to go.
Also, the lines at the base where crazy when we were there. From the time we arrived at the base, got our rentals and made it up the lift for our first run, it was almost 3 hours.
Also parking is scarce. We went to 4 different lots which were all full. We finally had to park in employee parking, otherwise, we would be driving back to our hotel since everything was full. If you enjoy waiting for hours for parking, lift tickets and chairlifts, then I recommend it. Otherwise, try Mont blanc (10 minutes away) or another resort where you can spend more time skiiing and less time waiting.
