Another post states "Economic, Functional and Practical". This sums it up quite nicely. The Inn suited its purpose and was exactly what we needed. The price was right and the room was clean. The host was extremely welcoming with great tips and tricks regarding the area. We went in summer so no skiing, but there is still plenty to do in the beautiful surroundings of Mont Tremblant. A full breakfast was included in on our deal and was perfect to start an active day. There is no longer a restaurant in the evening, but Creperie de Catherine is very nearby if you don't want to go into town. We enjoyed their tasty food and the very warm welcoming vibe.

Welcoming hosts. Full breakfast included in price was very good. Older drive-up to door type of motel. Could use some improvements, especially the reception area and landscaping, but a very economical and quiet place to stay!

The Auberge Mountain View Inn was a wide ranging experience to say the least. I will start with the charm of our much older motel section of the Inn. The room was clean, but very basic, and included a real wood burning fireplace, although the owners wisely selected not to include real wood. On request they provided us with a decorative burning log that helped to warm up the room. The heat had not been turned on in the room, so it was a bit chilly when we arrived. Ironically it seems there was boiler heat that suddenly kicked on in the middle of the night when it wasn't needed. Only there for an overnight stay with two teens in tow, it suited its purpose. Everyone loved the deer that lingered by the Inn's reception area munching on carrots left out by the Inn's ex-pat Swiss owner. The restaurant, sadly, had closed, but was offering breakfast on the packaged deals. The breakfast was hearty, and the perfect start to our St Patrick's day on the Mountain. The price was right for the accommodations. The Inn's cat scrutinized us closely and when we had passed muster, deigned for us to continue with our business. These rooms could use an upgrade, however as noted, the price was right, everything was clean, and it suited the purpose intended.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the woods are nice and quiet.

1. 15 minutes to Mont Tremblant Ski South Side: 24 minutes to the north side. North requires less walking from car to the lift BUT going up to the summit is cold because it's not a gondola unlike from the south side.
2. Hotel: Heating, towels, hot water available. However, towels are a little spotty stained (some) and room is dated but it's functional. Hotel is quiet but you will hear people get up at 6:30am to go skiing. Receptionist is very nice and feeds carrots to the deer on his front lawn (we saw 9 of them in the late afternoon).
Bring your own hair dryer.
3. You can walk Creperie de Catherine (6 min walk). Smoked salmon is good..or if you want to be economical, it's a 3 min drive to town where there is a Metro/Dollarama/Subway.
4. For those that play pokemon Go, there is a lot of stops in town. There's one stop near Auberge Mountain Inn.
5. FOr $58 (plus taxes) a night (can fit two people comfortable), I cannot complain versus what you would pay to stay at Mont Tremblant village
6. Every day, your room will be cleaned and bed made.
7. There's cable TV (with french and english channels) and a closet area to store your stuff.

The owner was extremely rude and accused us of lying about the children ages, despite booking on hotwire where it did not stipulate their age limits (11, kids are 14). The owner told the kids directly that we were liars when we werent there. The owner Andreas became very hostile and aggressive when asked what the issue was and was not open to any sort of resolution. We called Hot wire and received a refund and left as he would not give us a refund directly.

Leaving suited us well as the motel was smelly, dingy, musty, beds were pathetic, sheets dirty, furniture broken and front reception was disgusting. Rude staff, below average accommodations and creepy owner. When I advised the owner I would be reviewing his poor service on trip advisor he blew me a kiss. He upset the kids by calling us liars and made them feel uncomfortable by his creepy demeanor. I wouldnt recommend any families staying at this motel.
