“Excellent French cuisine”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

We tried out this restaurant after reading some of the previous Tripadvisor members' review. It was ranked number one in the area. And, they were dead on. This restaurant has very good locally sourced organic food. The chef was extremely attentive and creative with their dishes.

We arrived at 5:30pm Tuesday night and asked for the early dinner menu. The early dinner menu is only between 5 to 6pm. That menu includes 3 course meal at $29 to $32 each depending on what main course you order. For appetizer you have a choice of:

1 mesclun salad and balsamic dressing
2 velvety soup of sweet red pepper and chili, pesto olive oil

For main course you have a choice of:

1 chicken from a nearby organic farm
2 pike fillet in lemon sauce
3 Quebec lamb navarrini

For dessert, we had a choice of
1 chocolate mousse
2 ice cream mixed with rum

The soup was placed inside a ceramic mini bath tub which was very creative. The salad included an edible flower with the petals and short stem.

The chicken was very juicy and tasty. The fish was baked nicely in a creamy sauce. The lamb was a nice stew.

The biggest drawbacks are that there is no air conditioning in thenhouse and that eating al fresco under the canopy had lots of flies/ mosquitoes. Other than that, no other complaints.

The servers were very friendly, cheerful and attentative.

“French Cuisine at its best”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

The food was excellent and the service superb. The hostess/waitress was very knowledgeable and she spoke good English which helped in a place that most don't. The chef is also one in twenty in the world that handle duck a certain way which you need to order in advance because it takes half a day to prepare and they also make a presentation to whomever order it. Great restaurant

“Exceptional gastronomic experience”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

We went to Mont Tremblant for our honeymoon. We found Le Cheval de Jade by navigating on the internet before our departure. The great reviews brought us to this restaurant and we were not disappointed. Excellent food and beautiful atmosphere.
The hostess Frédérique greated us with her beautiful smile. It was a beautiful warm day so we were offered to sit outside on the terrace.
We selected the gastronomic menu with the wine pairing and were very delighted. The food was very tasty and the presentation very impressive. We even took pictures of our plates. Every time a wine was brought we were explained the reasoning behind choosing it for the dish being served. Great wine selection.
The service was outstanding. Both Frédérique and the other waitress (sorry, forgot her name) ensure that everything was too our liking. Olivier, the chef, also came out to meet us to make sure that everything was perfect. We had a great discussion on the making of the “Laurentians’ Ducking à la Rouennaise”. What an interesting individual. He’s very passionate at what he does.
We had a very relaxing evening. It was a great experience that we intend to repeat on our anniversary.
We highly recommend Le Cheval de Jade. Merci Olivier & Frédérique for a most unforgettable evening and for the good wishes.

“The best experience in Tremblant”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

We loved this place for a variety of reasons. The service was the best we had in Tremblant, the owners are very attentive, the chef came out to see how the tables were doing. His wife greeted us and checked in throughout the evening. The food is creative, fresh and good quality. It is not inexpensive, it's fine dining. Great for a special evening.
