Very good fish, salad and soup! It was a great little place to relax and enjoy the quaintness of N Hatley. Service was great.

“Great Fish & Chips”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Pleasantly located on the Lake/River within easy walking distance from the B&B where we stayed. Service was good, as was the food. What we had was not gourmet, but very hunger quenching.

“Nice, quaint restraurant”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

Geat food and drink with a cosy atmosphere. The ownre of the B&B we were staying at, Le Cachet, was also there and treated us to wine. A very nice gesture.
The restraurant is very casual, the food well prepared. One of the best french-onion soups that I have ever had and I have tried many!!

“Don't order mahimahi on a Tuesday”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

Café du Lac was recommended to us, but we were disappointed. The mahimahi was not correctly cooked. It was tough and didn't have a lot of flavour. Vegetables were okay, but unevenly cooked. The rice was re-heated in the microwave as was the pudding au chomeur which was at least tasty and homemade. Service was fine. The waitress was polite and friendly
