We just returned from a two night stay at this wonderful little motel in the beautiful little ski town of Saint Sauveur. The skiing was great and there was a lot to see and do.
The owner & staff were very friendly and accommodating; the rooms were tastefully decorated in a modern style and very clean and comfortable. The room had all the modern appliances as described on their website. The refrigerator, coffeemaker, microwave and toaster oven were nice to have for after ski snacks. The room did not include a phone or Internet connection.
Our ski package included 2 nights double occupancy in a standard room, 2 breakfasts at a choice of two restaurants, lift tickets for two (2 days), 2 evening meals at a choice of two restaurants. Coupons were provided for breakfast (appx. $10 per person per day) and dinner ($75 for each meal). The total package cost depending on the time of year (appx. $750 all taxes included, we booked during US & Ontario holidays).
Note: A Saint-Sauveur lift ticket (included in the package) will give you access to both Mount Saint-Sauveur & Mount Avila, but an Avila ticket only gives you access to Avila.
All restaurants are within a 5 minute drive of the motel. Our restaurant review is as follows:
Papa Luigi - Very nice atmosphere, excellent service, very good Italian or surf & turf, bilingual menu and staff.
Restaurant Des Oliviers - Very nice atmosphere, excellent service, very good food, eclectic selections (I had a venison steak that was outstanding), French only menu but the waitress was able to assist with the selections.
Café de la Gare - Average atmosphere, reasonable service, average food, French only menu but the waitress was able to assist with the selection. I'd pass and request the coupons for Cora's.
Cora's - Very nice atmosphere, excellent service, large bilingual menu selection, good food, bilingual staff.
Not associated with the Motel is the Restaurant/Bar at the lodge at the ski hill (can't remember the name)- Very nice atmosphere, poor service (it took a long time to get any type of service), pub food was average to poor, bilingual menu and staff. You can ask for drink discount ($2 off) tickets when you pick up your lift passes.
All in all, a very good value for the money and we would definitely return.
