“Terrific Food - but be careful about when you go”

To say that this is a popular place at the "peak" eating times is like saying that "water is wet". You can face lineups of 45 minutes to an hour. So select your time carefully. But GO! This is one of the nicest Baton Rouge restaurants and the food is servd in large portions and without a lot of delay. The "team serving" concept can sometimes lead to wires being crossed. The wait staff may assume that you have placed your order when you haven't and when they are very busy they can sometimes fail to be attentive. The real winner on the menu is the rib steak...of course, the ribs are also outstanding. So is the prime rib finished on the grill. Not to be ignored is the wine list. It is short but usually has 2 or 3 excellent wines that are offered at a very reasonable price

“North American Food”

The seating is comfortable, the service good. My friends all enjoyed their meals. I chose a sandwich with rib (off the bone) which came with apples. Not a good choice,

“Great food, great patio”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2012

There are a lot of restos in St Sauveur, some are good, many are awful. Baton Rouge is a high-end chain that offers reliably good food at reasonable prices. The place is large and bright, chalet styled in keeping with the village. The ribs are wonderful, the salads are huge and delicious. My kids love the chicken tenders. There is something for everyone. During the ski season reservations are recommended!

“Food was great, service not so”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 13, 2011

As always with Baton Rouge, I loved my ribs !
But we got a table that was near the patio door and they left it open because waiters had to go in & out to serve people who were outside. But it was getting cold, and with the draft of wind it got more and more cold... So that was a bit of a turn-off...

Plus it took nearly 30 minutes after ordering our drinks before we actually got them... so that started things on a bad note... then our waitress seemed really in a big rush that night, running all over the place... thus not taking very good care of us... My girlfriend's shrimps were very cold by the time she got the garlic butter she had asked...

Maybe if we had gotten a table in the dining room section we would have had a more enjoyable experience.. next time we'll know ....
