Owner description: During a trip to Quebec City, an amazing day out at the Canyon Sainte-Anne's gorge with its imposing waterfall and 3 suspension bridges is a must-do family attraction. Get into a spectacular and vertiginous canyon. Listen to the roaring of the majestic Sainte-Anne falls (74m high) between its narrow 1.2-Billion-year-old rocky cliffs. Vibrate while walking across our 3 suspension bridge. One is 60m (243') high over the gorge!Discover Giant potholes and cascades in the Mini-Canyon, along with the challenging Stone Stories Treasure Hunt with all family members. Be thrilled by our 3 vias ferratas and our 2 giant zip lines.Canyon Ste-Anne is well located, only 30 minutes from Quebec City, towards the Montmorency falls, and only 5 minutes from the Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre Shrine and the Mont Sainte-Anne ski resort. The entrance is situated directly on Route 138 East, towards Charlevoix, the Le Massif ski resort, and the whale watching cruise area.

My family of 3 (2 adults, 9 year old boy) visited the canyon while vacationing in Quebec. There was ample parking and a pavilion with a restaurant, gift shop and restrooms at the entrance to the canyon. Cost for our family was $32. There are plenty of scenic spots for picture taking. The hike is beautiful, crossing multiple suspension bridges. The falls are gorgeous, and there is an opportunity to zip line if you are looking for adventure. Good exercise for the family. Wear good hiking shoes, and recommend bug spray.

We spent an afternoon here walking around taking pictures and getting some good exercise with all the steps. There is also rock climbing and a small zipline across the canyon. Afterward, we got soup and sandwiches at the small cafeteria. Recommend visiting for the nice walk and views.

Henry David Thoreau described the canyon as ‘a most wild and rugged and stupendous chasm’.
It is still stupendous and rugged but the area has been somewhat tamed so that visitors can enjoy the scenery in relative safety.

There is an easy walking trail with benches at various points, two suspension bridges and wooden viewing platforms cantilevered over the falls. There are some steps down to these viewing platforms and up from the bottom bridge but there are quite ‘easy’.

For the very fit and intrepid there is rock climbing or zip lining across the falls.

The fee of $12.50 seemed a bit much at first but we felt it was worth it as you can take as much time as you want. Why not have a picnic at one of the places along the trail? There is also a large shaded picnic area by the entrance.
Parking is free. RVs can be accommodated.

I visited The Canyon with a number of family members in July. Although I had been here before they hadn't. We all enjoyed the bridges that give unique views of the canyon. There were also lots of lookouts for viewing and picture taking. Even the teenagers enjoyed the experience. Don't miss this attraction when you are in the Quebec City area
