We waited over 1/2 hr after being seated before the waitress even came to our table to take our orders. We ordered our appetizers & main courses. Waited almost an hour before appetizers were served. She never bothered to check on us while we were waiting to see if we wanted more drinks. We only got 1 out of the 3 satay orders (for 6 people). And they were cold! Our waitress was very put out when we asked about the wait; how-dare-you-complain-I'm-too-busy-to-be-bothered-attitude. She got visibly annoyed, and left angrily, saying she would get the owner. We waited almost another hour for our main courses - and watched others who were seated 1/2 hour after us get their appetizers and main courses (different waitress). Finally the owner? Richard served us our main courses. Although 3/6 curries were good, half the food was cold, the ginger in our 10 year old's order was raw, (she cried when she bit into it), my mother-in-law's beef dish was tough (and cold). We tried to tell him about the appetizers, the over 2 hour wait for our main courses, and the waitress' rude attitude, but before we could get to the main courses, he interrupted us with this response: "I hope the food was worth the wait." !! We were seated at 6:30. We left at 9:30. At the very least, it would have been nice to see the appetizer comped. At the end of the day, we were treated as if WE were the problem. Not a pleasant experience. Too bad, because the setting is beautiful from the balcony.

Been there before and while we like to be relaxed and it's not "fast food", we waited for 30 minutes to see a waitress once we were seated. Then she brought the wrong number of appetizers - which were cold. We ordered right awaya and waited 1 full hour to get our food while several parties of 2 and 3 were served promptly. When we questioned the waitress, her answer was "we only have two burners" !!! What a crap attitude. I had to almost restrain my mother in law and wife. The food finally showed up - served by Richard, the owner, who said "i hope it was worth the wait ". We had to bite our tongues, The rice was cold on some plates and not on others and my niece's food had raw uncooked ginger in it. Overall, no attempt to apologize or reduce the bill. This place used to be a favourite, but no longer.

We were passing by Fernie and we decided to stop by as it looked very inviting. As soon as we entered, it went from being ordinary, bad to WORST EVER EXPIRIENCE in Canada.
We were seated for about 20 min, totally being ignored while we watched people coming after us having food and drinks already on their table. After 20 min, when the waitress appeared and we mentioned her about being ignored she was very rude indicating she was too busy to be bothered. We placed out drinks and food order, another 20 min went by and we were not even served the drinks. When we asked her again about our beers she was again very rude saying she will get them to us after taking couple of orders.. So we sat there for 40 mins with just water and a rude rude waitress who didnt even have a descent attitude. We were so upset with the whole thing we left the place and would never ever go there again and would advise anyone against it who is looking for a warm welcoming dinner.

Having read the reviews on trip advisor for this curry house we were very disappointed the building is lovely and traditional and the layout good but the air conditioning was too cold as it was a cool day and it was right under our table. We asked to move which we did but others in the room seemed to have the same problem Our waitress asked her boss to turn it off but was told no. The meal was a long time coming and not very good not we call a good curry in England as we have such good ones. It served a bit of everything so not what we are used to. Go if your expectations are not high but not for us.

Had the Pad Thai and Panang Curry here (in week visit, it was worth coming back here).

Would recommend it, prices are reasonable and food is good. However service is rather slow, a 1 hr dinner or lunch sitting is fairly hard to complete factoring the wait for food and your order to be taken etc.
