Lots of variety. Mountain was just shy of enough snow, but much more than Panarama and Lake Louise, same week. They need more facilities at the base. My non-skiing friend looked for the bar to stay, but wouldn't stay due to overcrowding. Loved Lost Boy's Hut, good food, help and atmosphere. Met some locals and they were very kind to show me where some good snow was still hiding.

The skiing is awesome but most of the staff I came across seemed to be bothered by having to help. But my biggest complaint is the lack of WIFI in the village area. It is 2014 and wifi should be available for all at no charge. It is a minimal investment for RCR to make and would please many guests.

The restaurant of this resort is the closest and easiest to reach for beginners (Mini and Mighty Mouse Chairs), so we used it during our time as central meeting place with our family covering the whole range from bunny to black slopes. Just wish they would shovel and opening through the snowpile next to the road - tough for beginners to cross a 500m mound of ice in boots!

We had a great Christmas Day experience at Fernie Alpine Resort. The staff were all very friendly and made it seem like they were having a great Christmas, even though they had to work. The hills had decent snow coverage, but I'll make sure to visit next time after a good dumping because even the blue runs can be quite challenging (steep) here.
Lunch and beer at the Griz was good. Overall, beautiful surroundings, five (5!) bowls and a friendly atmosphere.

Great hill but poorly marked for the new skiers to the hill. Kelseys was closed for lunch, odd, and the griz pub menu had a poor selection so we left and ate downstairs in the cafeteria which had a much better selection.
