You can't go wrong eating here. The food is amazing, coffee fresh and the patio is always sunny. Go for the Soul Bowl.

“My fave brunch spot in Fernie”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2012

Other brunch places come and go, but Blue Toque at the Arts Station is still here and is my fave! It's not your normal bacon and eggs kind of place, so be prepared to try something new. Believe me, you'll be happy you did.

The restaurant can be hit or miss in regards to wait times depending the season, or weekend events in town. It's a small restaurant, but worth the wait. They do daily specials of soups, salads and a main. Always tasty, always something new/ Staff is polite, and the menu is quite large. The food is great, you should try it!

The restaurant has outdoor patio seating in the summers. And is open til 3pm (breakfast, brunch and lunch).

“Relaxed atmosphere with amazing breakfasts!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2012

We were reccomended by a friend who is a local and was blown away. The food was simple, honest and delicious. It is often hard to find a breakfast menu where I struggle to choose but the menu options were all great. The option of fresh fruit or pan fried potato with each meal was such a lovely option to provide.

Make sure you enjoy some of their fruit compote with the toast it is so tasty!

“Our best meal in Fernie”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2011

We visited the Blue Toque for breakfast on our first day in Fernie and were delighted with the food, service and decor.

First and foremost, the food was outstanding. It was obvious that fresh, local ingredients are used. I especially enjoyed the homemade apricot nut bread with homemade berry preserves and local coffee.

Staff was friendly and very helpful with my husband's food allergy. The restaurant is located in an old railway station and showcases works for sale from local artists.

“Laid back, excellent food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2010

Good vibe about the place, with excellent food. Service very slow, but everyone seems to expect this - so go, but when you're not in a rush (which is part of the reason to hang out there, I guess). It's in an old rail station, so sitting on outside when the trains go by is unique!
