We went to Granby Zoo because of great recommendations from friends. Our children are 3 and 12 years old but they both had a fabulous time as did myself and my husband. The amusement park had good rides for either one of my kids. The waterpark was massive and a lot of fun. The zoo itself was very well organized and clean. The staff was friendly and tried their hardest to communicate with their non-French customers. The food was very bland and usually cold (even pizza). I definitely recommend bringing your own. It is worth buying the two-day deal! If you're doing this, go to the waterpark on the first day. We went on a saturday and sunday, the zoo was extremely busy on sunday as it was a gorgeous day. Try going around the zoo earlier inthe day so that the animals are out and about. They tend to nap in the afternoon. Overall, great zoo, great family activity!

Zoo was very expensive for what was available to look at. And staff constantly hassled us at water park over a tank top and insisted we buy one of their tank tops before my girlfriend was allowed back in the water.

Visited the zoo over two days on a particularly hot and humid July. We were two families with two small children each (four years-old and under two).

The zoo itself is wonderful - a varied assortment of animals in large enclosures. Lots and lots to do - one day doesn't do the zoo justice if you have small children. We broke up the days (and survived the heat) with stops at the waterpark (Amazoo) - this is great but was very, very crowded with little shade to be had (hats and sunscreen are a must).

We got there before the zoo opened (about 9:30am) on both days to score parking within a very short walk from the entrance. This also gave us time to buy tickets at leisure and rent a wagon (they also rent strollers) to help transport the four-years olds in the group around. (We stayed in a hotel in nearby Bromont and would recommend this as a viable option particularly if you drive to Granby via the backroads and avoid the Highway 10 traffic.)

Highlights included the aquarium (nice and shaded!), the bat cave (lots of little passage for little ones to explore) and, of course, there were some super cute animal standouts (the giraffes, baby zebra, red pandas, hippos and tigers) but each exhibit/animal was worth a peek. We were lucky in that we managed to catch most animals out of their enclosures as we focused on the animals before noon and the full force of the sun hit.

There are varied food options and lots of places to buy drinks/ice cream. There is also a small amusement park area with rides which were a big hit with the four-years old (most rides were free). We also took the monorail around the zoo which was a nice break from walking (and gave a good view of some of the animals) - you can get 10 tickets for $20 (and tickets are valid for several other attractions although most things in the zoo are included in the ticket price).

Would visit here again but perhaps in the off-season as the sun and crowds made it tiring.

Visited the Zoo with my spouse and read many reviews on Trip Advisor prior to our arrival. Tickets went on sale at 9:00am and the Zoo opens at 10:00am. We arrived at 9:15am, no problem getting parking, bought our tickets and walked across the road to Tim Hortons for breakfast. Spent 10:00am - 2:00pm at the Zoo looking at all of the animals. Very well kept Zoo. As per other's suggestions, we brought our own drinks and snacks but we did enjoy a Beavertail. Many others brought coolers and their lunches with them. Did not part-take at the water park but it did look like a lot of fun. Amusement park was closed until 12:00noon the day we went. Really enjoyed our day at the Zoo but at $80.00 for both of us together - that is quite a heavy bill!

Went to the zoo on Saturday, June 13th. We arrived at 15:30 but were told to wait 30 mins and get the cheaper rate for 27$. We opted to wait since the zoo closes at 7pm in the summer on Saturdays and we knew we would no have enough time to take the advantage of the water park.

I rated the zoo a 3/5 since we did not do the water park. But I think had I enjoyed the water park, I would have given it a 4/5.

- nice themes for the areas - Asia, Africa, South America, Oceania. Very well decorated and the actual animal enclosures were very well done.
- great signs, with descriptions and info on the animals
- wide variety of animals
- drinks and ice cream available near by (very hot day!)
- washrooms and smoking sections in each area
- 3 hours allowed us to see all the animals

- map grid was not so simple to locate actual spot of animals - should be numbered by exhibits
- the mandrill monkeys exhibit stank really badly and there were flies all over
- the closed areas were really hot
