“Worth the trip”

There is much to see here. One day was barely enough just to see the zoo attractions, if you plan on doing rides and the water park you'll need more than one day. Some of the most enjoyable parts of the zoo are easily overlooked if you don't pay attention.

book the room with Granby Zoo tickets together, save money; take breakfast and the motel will save you more time.

“Not spectacular,”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

but a mid-range zoo, worth the drive and the visit. I found the zoo's strengths in the Oceania and South America sections. Allowing wallabies and kangaroos free range struck me as a win-win for humans and marsupials, alike. The jaguar enclosure, on the other hand, was cramped and the beast within looked hungry for the beasts staring in. The lions and tigers fared better, while the elephants in the Africa realm had plenty of room to wander. A highlight was the primates section in the South American section -- they really displayed personality and life.

“Loved It”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

I was really impressed with Granby Zoo and was glad we decided to go there with the kids on our way from Montreal to Quebec City, even though it was a little way off (about an hour west of Montreal and 3 hours south of Quebec City). The zoo is well designed and it’s difficult to get lost or miss all the exhibits. The zoo is very well maintained and the surroundings are as good as the animals. The staff is also very friendly. My daughter's favorite activity was the animal farm, the pony ride (extra fee) and the amusement park.

All in all a great experience for families looking for stuff to do with young children in Quebec.

“Great family entertainment and also for big group gatherings”
Reviewed September 16, 2012

This is a great place to drag the kids and spend the day! There is something for everyone and you do not get tired of being there. It offers the swimming in theme park settings and the zoo is very well laid out and clean. We go every year and bring all the grandkids and great grand ma's. We have even been to a corporate function where they served 800 under a tent and we had a great day then too. The souvenir shop is nicely laid out and there are great gifts that you do not see everywhere on display. We have also gone in the winter and they have great things for the kids to do so it should not be overlooked as just a summer place.
