I find that the water is not hot enough when I was there (well the outdoor temperature was very cold). But the overall experience was great. Quite relaxing to sit in the pool and watch the mountains. I must say this is a better hot spring than Banff for sure.

P.S. There is a short distance between the changing room and the pool entrance (which is cover by plastics but cold air do come in while you are butt naked in your swimming shorts and wet).

Cost of entry is $6.30. Make sure you bring your own towel and some coins for lockers.

A very relaxing time in the hot pool at Radium Hot Springs: 40 degrees in hot tub, 39 at one end and 36 at cooler end. The pool was very clean, much better than the ones at Banff. The park staff were helpful and change rooms and showers were clean. They supply suits and towels although we took our own. Cost $5-6. The backdrop of the rocks was spectacular as was the drive.

This is a must see and enjoy. The water is so warm and inviting and the staff were very pleasant. Nice and clean. Outside was very cold when we were there but the steam made the most beautiful silver frost on the trees. I'd return in a heartbeat!

In December we visited Radium Hot Springs. We had a massage in the spa and then got into the pool. The facilities were clean and sitting outside with below freezing temperatures outside and steam rising around us from the hot spring was magical. The trees on the mountain towering above us covered in hoar frost was magical. It was a bit cold getting from the changing rooms into the pool with no place to put your towels but hang on a rail.

Hi there,
Thanks for reviewing Radium Hot Springs in winter. As you say, it is a FAIRYLAND at that time of year and definitely worth a visit. There are not too many places like Radium Hot Springs and we are so pleased to welcome visitors from near and far to enjoy its uniqueness. If you come again in winter, you may wish to ask staff about the best place to put your towels so that you don’t have to walk on the cold concrete deck outside. We do have a covered walkway so that visitors can get into the pool without getting cold. Do visit us again soon!

Warm regards,
Donna Cook

Nice experience especially in winter, however, you have to leave your flip flops and towel in the hallway before you can get into the pools. We had our towels stolen. The pool was nice and not over crowded but not overly hot as I expected.
