We enjoyed every single bite, sip and moment of our time at Casa Vino. We returned a second night in a row as it was such a wonderful experience and we were able to participate in a Wine-Tasting evening. It's hard to decide if the food or the company was better, as both the owners and Sabra, who was our server, are such warm and welcoming people. CasaVino has a variety of indoor and outdoor seating that made it really inviting. It is a MUST if you are anywhere near Radium and we certainly hope to return soon.

We were cheerfully welcomed by Sabra, the manager, and since we had a reservation were placed near the fireplace as it was a chilly evening. There were both high and low tables and many tables outside in the beautiful garden. We had a half platter of cheese and wild boar pate’ served with a locally made bread; a flat bread topped with herbed cream cheese, smoked salmon, red onions and house made lemon dill sauce; an chicken sate’ skewers. Dessert was a chocolate mousse cake and homemade fudge served with whipped cream and strawberry rhubarb sauce. We each ordered a flight of three red wines so had six tastes to share. Sabra helped us choose the wines based on our food order. We loved the soft music - that evening it sounded like a nice new age fusion. They do change the style during the week. A delightful experience!! The food was awesome and we highly recommend the restaurant. We were lucky and had the opportunity to meet both of the owners before we left.

Unlike the previous reviewer, we were here in a heat wave, still 34deg. C at 7.30pm. We sat in the very splendid garden, which is beautifully laid out with well spaced tables and attractive planting. We had spicy lamb koftas, a mixed cheese flatbread, king prawns with a chilli sauce, and a small cheese and charcuterie platter. All the food was well prepared and carefully presented.

Drinks were x2 bottles of cider, a "wine flight" taster, and a glass of Sauvignon. Here the value drops. The wine flight is 3x2oz servings which are chosen for you, and didn't seem great value at $15, a 2oz serving is best described as a taster not a drink as such!
Overall the wine we found a little less good value than the food, our bill was a few pennies short of $100 plus tip.
Service was exemplary, the Mayor, who owns the place, goes out of her way to talk to every guest at length, (managing to make sure you know she's the mayor) and is very charming.

Our main server made us smile, if you know about Father Ted, she could only be described as very "Mrs Doyle" including chasing chipmunks and squirrels around while chastising them loudly.

If you don't know about Father Ted, google "Irish TV comedy Father Ted", find a video stream, and prepare to be greatly amused.

Back to the Casa Vino, it's a pleasant experience, if a little over priced, which makes it just short of excellent.

A friend and I went to radium for the long weekend, and doing some research before I came across CasaVino. We went there Friday night after the long drive to Radium. CasaVino did not disappoint. We both knew we liked wine but not enough to even know which kinds. The staff there was wonderful, taking the time to really think about what would go best with our meals and give us some advise. The food was fantastic, we had a half patter of the cheese to begin with and then some tapas after. More than enough food for the both of us and we were both still full the next morning. It was fantastic and I will definitely be going back every time I go to radium!
