After a day on the beach at Botany Bay and Botanical Beach near Port Renfro Vancouver Island, we decided to head back to Victoria . On our way back, we stopped for dinner at the Point no Point resort just west of Sooke [ an hour or less from Victoria ]. Oh my gosh !! what a good decision that was. We arrived a little early for dinner, but we were greeted warmly and relaxed reading the menue. They have two separate dinning rooms. One has just four settings and the other eight. Both rooms overlook the Strait Of Juan de Fuca. Very intimate and cozy. The food is local and very fresh. I won't even make any recomendations because I'm sure everything on their menu is world class and is seasonal . But , with that said, for dessert, we had peanut butter bread pudding with home made banana toffee ice cream . Not a bad way to finish the day , sipping good wine while watching the sun set over the Olympic Mtns.

Been here once every year when the family gets together in the summer. It's about an hour to hour and half drive from University of Victoria to the restaurant (and the GPS fails everytime we pass sooke). But it is totally worth the quarter tank of gas and the time! Food is amazing and priced VERY fairly. Waiters are top notch and the view is glorious on a sunny day. Also gets to go down to their private beach after the meal. Best hideaway spot ever!!

This little resort has been here since the 50's. It has cottages and a private beach, as well as the restaurant. We stopped for lunch on our way to Port Renfrew, and everyone enjoyed their meal, the fine service, and the sunny views out to the Juan de Fuca Strait.

A delightful location in the less-developed west coast of vancouver Island and the food id great.
But if you want to eat, better reserve in the nusy season

As always, I had another great lunch here. While waiting for our meal, we used the binoculars to watch the seals and enjoy the scenery. Although a croque monsieur is just a glamorized grilled cheese sandwich with ham and caramelized onions, it was delicious as was colourful large side salad. The service and view were both excellent and I will continue to recommend this place, as it's certainly worth the drive from Victoria.
