My wife & I always prefer to stay at B&B's when we travel. We travel a lot and of all the B&B's we have stayed at Einer's is the best!
Owners Ben & Bonnie made us feel very welcome! The breakfast's are served in the guest's rooms and were fabulous! Bonnie even packed us a wonderful picnic lunch to take with us while traveling around the island!
The guest rooms are seperated from the owners house, are all new and very nicely decorated and cozy. If you treasure your privacy it is possible to spend your day without even seeing your hosts, but if you do that you will miss getting to know a wonderful couple!
The location of Einer's B&B is so beautiful that I cannot describe it adequately! On a mountain top overlooking the Straight of Juan De Fuca with the majestic Olympic Range on the US side, Race Rocks light house below, the lights of Victoria twinkling at night, it is truely breathtaking! The deer feeding on the lawn are a bonus!
Bike / walking trails are just minutes away as are whale watching boat tours, kayaking lessons / rentals, and of course the beautiful city of Victoria, which you can see from the B&B is just a short scenic drive away.
I'm sure you will want to return to Einer's again and again. I want to!

Bonnie and Ben Einer have created a unique B & B experience in one of the most beautiful parts of North America. Vancouver Island has so much to offer and to base our adventures out of such a stunning and comfortable B & B made for a memorable getaway for my wife and myself.

There are only two suites with two more planned, so it is quite intimate. Each suite has its own private entrance and deck. They are each modern in design, with a definite European motif. We took full advantage of the fireplace in the evenings and slept very comfortably. In my opinion, what differentiates Einer's from other B & B's in Sooke is that rather than being down close to the water, we were at the top of Mt. Matheson overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca. We had a gorgeous view of the strait, cruise ships coming and going from Victoria Harbour and the mountains of Olympic National Park in Washington State. What a great vision when waking up in the morning.

Each day, at the time of our choosing, Bonnie's breakfasts were delivered to our suite. Most days, we ate on our balcony overlooking the forest and the water. Breakfast was always beautifully prepared and very hearty. We normally didn't stop for lunch until mid-afternoon. As a part of our rate, Bonnie would prepare a picnic lunch for us every day. It included great meats such as smoked salmon, baked chicken, deli cuts along with varied cheeses, baguettes, fresh fruit, and great desserts and always bottled water.

One evening we mentioned we had wanted to go to Botany Bay to see the tide pools at low tide. The next morning, we had the high/low tide chart with breakfast, so we could plan our trip. Prior to getting there, we had mentioned that we wanted to go whale watching. Bonnie put us in touch with Sooke Coastal Expeditions. They were awesome! We had a wonderful day cruising among the feeding Orcas. Every need was quickly and excellently addressed, often without our asking.

We had mentioned that we wanted to hike the coast trail in East Sooke Regional Park. It's 10 km from end to end. Bonnie and Ben offered to follow us to the parking lot at one end and drive us to the other, so our car would be waiting for us at the end of our hike. It's that kind of personal attention that made our stay so special. (We whimped out on the full 10km. However, after hiking about 6km of it, we concluded that we could have made the whole 10km with no problem. It's beautiful both within the forest and along the coast.)

Our photos don't include any of our suite, because we cannot improve upon the presentation of the suites found on the Einer's excellent website.

Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay with the Einer's and would return in a heartbeat.

Thanks, Bonnie and Ben for a wonderful holiday.

we stayed at Einers Above Race Rocks May 2006 and were truly wowed by the structure of ther building and delighted by the beautiful room and delicious breakfast and picnic lunches. We much appreciated the fruit, chocolates etc and felt very pampered.

This B and B is unlike anywhere else we have stayed and provided the very best quality bed, bathroom, linen etc and all for a reasonable price. Bonnie is a most welcoming and warm hostess although we never felt we were intruding on her home. Einers is quite a way out of Sooke and we recommend eating first as we did not want to drive back in the dark!

We just wanted to share how wonderful our experience was staying at this place. This B&B is different than what we had heard about with other B&Bs. We did not eat breakfast with others. They just brought the food up to us via a sheet we filled out the night before. It was very elegantly and sophisticatedly decorated.

We went there for our first wedding anniversary and wanted somewhere special. This place definitely was worth it. Waking up every morning to that gorgeous location and view was rejuvenating! The food was spectacular! Every detail was well thought out with the purpose of making a very luxurious stay. Even the picnic lunches were gourmet. We enjoyed being away from the city and being able to take a short 30 minute drive into Victoria. I would recommend this place and would hope to visit again! The only recommendation is to not get there at night for your first time driving there. The street names don't always match and some of the visual cues aren't there.

Thanks so much Ben and Bonnie!
