We stopped for lunch on our way to French, China and Botanical beaches. The welcome, as other reviewers have mentioned, was warm and Leanne introduced herself and asked my name and then used it throughout our visit. Nice touch!
As we are are trying to eat more healthy dishes I asked what Leanne could recommend and was pleased that we had more than one choice - in fact we had many options from which to choose. The food was delicious but when it came time to pay, and despite the fact that we have been trying to avoid cakes and pastries, it was difficult to resist one of the muffins so this was bagged up to go.
On the way back from Botanical Beach (Port Renfrew) several hours later we called in for coffee and was enthusiastically greeted by our host once again. Coffee was good as was the muffin which we hadn't eaten as we were still full from lunch.
As an aside - make certain you have plenty of gas in your tank as there are no gas stations between Sooke and Port Renfrew. We were running pretty low by the time we got to Shirley Delicious and mentioned this to Leanne who suggested we siphon off some of hers. What a star!
Stop there - I think you will be very pleased you did.
