In other provinces this would be a provincial, or even national park. It really is in a spectacular setting, 45 minutes from downtown Victoria. Stroll along the ocean and see the Olympic mountains, sea lions, orca whales, seals, eagles... and really get away from the city. Some wonderful beaches to picnic on as well.

I've been here many times in the last 27 years - and plan on going again very soon. There are lots of trails, and places to explore - no two visit are exactly the same! You need a lot of time to explore this park, so don't just go for an hour - make it a whole day! Early spring and late summer are my fave times here. Never been during the winter though.

Ease Sooke Regional Park is a great place to spend the day with the family picnicking or for a hike. Trails are marked. There is a small sandy beach that is wonderful for kids and adults.

This park is amazing for anything from short 15 minute walks, to all day treks. From Alyard Farm there are many beautiful coastal features to enjoy like rocky points, beaches and picnic areas. From the north end there is great forest trails through lush green terrain. You can literally do 4-5 short day hikes (2 hours) and explore a different area each time, this park is that big. Aside from the main south and north parking lots, you can access the park from 2-3 other central areas off side roads with a good map. This is by far our favourite park in the Victoria area and we have been to most all of them! I even proposed to my girlfriend at Beechy Head!
