“PERFECT HIDEAWAY ON THE SOUTHERN TIP OF VANCOUVER SLAND, BC”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

i have booked vacations here over 10 times, over the past 12 years. I have always booked one of the cabins perched on the hillside overlooking the Straits of Juan de Fuca with the private hot tubs on their decks facing the view. I researched WHICH of their many types of cabins i wanted to reserve, before doing so, because not all their cabins offer the same amenities. The Studio cabins are small, but fine for a couple. They have all had wood burning fireplaces with rocking chairs, a little dining table, a small workable kitchen and a private bath, plus a comfy cozy Queen bed with fluffy comforters. The deck with the hot tubs have privacy walls so your neighbors aren't checking you out as you enjoy the beautiful view from the outdoor tubs.
We have repeatedly enjoyed high tea and dinner at the little restaurant on site. It's about a 1/2 hour drive into the coastal town of Sooke, where you can easily stock up on any groceries or other necessities, plus enjoy farmers markets, galleries and restaurants. Sooke Harbor House served us a very memorable wonderful gourmet dinner, one night- but it was expensive. I don't regret spending the $$$ there for a special evening. We have gone salmon fishing out off the Sooke Marina with a guide and Yes, we brought our catch home to our cabin and enjoyed the freshest salmon dinner ever with a group of family who had actually booked 4 cabins at the resort, based on our recommendation. If you ask at the front desk, there is a private beach area that that you can get a key to; It is possible to drive down to the beach where there is a beach bar BQ with a big fireplace under cover right at the water's edge. If you have disabled guests in your group this is a fabulous feature. Also there are lovely meandering trails down to the beach thru the woods. The staff restock your wood supply daily. They have always been delightful and gracious, but are available to offer assistance if you need help, mostly invisible otherwise. This is not the place for a party vacation. Its wonderful for a peaceful, relaxing very comfortable time out from our normal hectic lives. Bring a couple of books and a puzzle, some walking shoes and get ready to kick back. Stay at least 4 nights.

Room Tip: Do your due diligence- go to the resort's website to research which unit is right for you.

Chanced upon this spot and absolutely fell in love with it. Cabin #2 was perfect. Great cabin, total privacy, breathtaking views. The grounds area also immaculate with trails leading down to several private beaches or scenic lookout vistas. Amazing spot to truly relax and unwind.

My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights.
At first we were disappointed, our cabin did not have a hot tub.
There was a juzzi bath tub, but we did not use it.
When we arrived about 1 pm.we viewed the cabin and thought it was very dark.
The sun came onto the cabin and deck about 3 pm and stayed until 7 pm.
The cabin was clean, well presented. The kitchen lacked for nothing.
We lit the fire the first evening and thankfully we did because there was a power outage.
We managed to cook part of our dinner on top of the wood stove, the rest we had brought cooked.
The management offered us and everyone else the use of their kitchen, which had a generator but we declined. They brought us candles, and we had brought some too.
We enjoyed the paths all through this lovely ocean front property with red painted benches situated along the pathways, in beautiful vantage view points.
The Beach House right on one of the beaches was huge and well looked after.
Our wood box and the one at the Beach house was full of papers and kindling and dry wood for fires.
We will most certainly return to this place.
I would like to take my whole family.
The staff were extremely accommodating, friendly and seemed very happy in their jobs.
I like that!

Room Tip: each cabin is private...it was as if we were alone there.

Spent three nights in bridge house, magnificent serene setting along west coast. Adirondack chairs to sit and enjoy the spectacular views and scenery. Spacious landscaped grounds with trails to the private beach and beach house. Wood-burning fireplace is another highlight in the house!

What an amazing spot. They have thought of everything. The privacy And peace and quiet is outstanding. Our cabin was clean, spacious and very comfy. We had one of the duplex cabins but the other side was empty so no concern there. The views were incredible. The beach is as good as anything in the area so you never even have to leave the property. Also beautifully maintained grounds that balance nature and garden perfectly. The cabin kitchen was fully stocked and met all of our needs. Fireplace, hot tub, private deck...what more could you ask for? Only downside...easy to flood the bathroom floor when taking a shower. Also, next time I would bring in my own supplies and cook for myself. I thought the restaurant was hit and miss (two of us had two lunches and one dinner during our stay) and not quite worth the price point. The chef is obviously creative and putting together a good menu, but the kitchen isn't delivering up to standard. I would cook my own meal and stroll down for dessert and brandy and the incredible view in the future! Other than that...we can't wait to return.

Our stay at the Point-No-Point Resort couldn't have been better. The staff was very welcoming and friendly over the whole time.

And what to say about the cabins?! Perfect, amazing, I could go on. We stayed at cabin 15 and it was a dream. Clear view of the ocean with a big hot tub on the big balcony. Inside a nice fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen and not one spot on the floor.

A big plus was also, that there was almost no sight of the neighbors. Perfect for a couple.

We will come back for sure!

Room Tip: Cabin Nr. 15 is the perfect place for a couple!

My hubby and I have been going to Point No Point Resort for years now to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries or just to treat ourselves to a much needed getaway. It's just over an hour from Victoria, BC out past the township of Sooke. I'm always amazed that you don't have to drive for hours and hours to get away from the city. This resort is rustic but has all the comforts of home and more. They have a variety of different units, most free standing cabins, but also a fourplex and a couple duplexes. And we always reserve a unit with a kitchen, fireplace and our own personal hot tub on a private deck on the cliff overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Peninsula, WA beyond. There are no phones, tv or anything else to distract from taking in the natural beauty of this tranquil property. We love exploring the various trails that wind down towards the beach, visiting the beach house with it's fire pit and just soaking in the hot tub taking in the view. The restaurant, an old tea house on the property, is small and simplely decorated but comfortable. The views from the restaurant together with the wonderful cuisine are sure to lower your blood pressure even further. We always enjoy a fine dinner whenever we are there. They also offer lunch but no breakfast, but with the full kitchen, we can fend for ourselves easily. We play crib, read, or take a nap. And we also love to venture out to explore one of the many rugged beaches and hike the trails that make up the Juan de Fuca Trail along this stretch of the Westcoast Hwy that ends at Port Renfrew and the start of the southern access to the infamous West Coast Trail. It's the best of both worlds really; a home base that is warm and inviting with nature waiting to be discovered right at your doorstep.

The service is very good, with firewood delivery to your back door late each afternoon, hot tub inspection and fresh towel delivery as well as the pleasant front desk and restaurant. Now if they would just modernize their website to point of enabling online reservation rather than having to phone, I'd be thrilled!

Room Tip: Chose a unit that is free standing if you are at all concerned about noise from your neighbors. We...
