We came down here for a week just before Easter for a working vacation and what a fantastic setup. We had a 3 bedroom unit that was both comfortable and stylish. We had peekaboo views of the ocean from the living room deck, stairway window and master suite deck. The kitchen has everything to cook anything from a quick to a gourmet meal, and there is a BBQ on the deck as well. The only thing missing was a huge pot to cook the locally bought crabs in but we just cooked them one at a time in the pot that was there. FYI there is a bucket in the front closet for shells if you should decide to do that.
The living room had a comfortable reclining chair (two would have been nice), a couch, electric fireplace, TV and stereo and each bedroom had their own TV. Beds are comfortable and we had great sleeps as it's nice and quiet, and the bathrooms are nice and large and the main bathroom has a washer and dryer in it.
We were on our computers a lot of the time and we had no problems with the internet at all. There is also 2 hot tubs on site but we found them to be too cold.
The location is great and you can do lots of day trips from the resort to explore other areas as well. Take a drive to Port Renfrew and stop at many of the parks along the coast, go to the Sooke Museum and eating at Shirley Delicious, Stickleback West Coast Eatery as well as Buffy's Pub.

We were blown away from the minute we arrived at this resort. The ocean view rooms are luxury and very comfortable. The finishing touches to our oceanfront suite were absolutely amazing. Everything to cook and live easy for our week away was here. The decks overlooking the Sooke Harbour and Whiffin spit provide a perfect place to relax and watch the sun rise and fall. The hot tubs at this resort are super clean and well taken care of. Great private marina and Peaceful in every way. We will be back again and again. We have found the perfect getaway spot forever to explore Sooke, Jordan River, Port Renfrew and the Juan De Fuca trail.

Room Tip: All rooms are good but the penthouse is trump being close to the water.

We agree with all the good things said. We especially liked the quiet electric fireplace. The internet was reliable but the speed was less than 1 Mbps.

We really enjoyed the beautiful views from the scenic viewpoints at Malahat Summit (1154 ft) which is 45 minutes north on Hwy 1.

My wife was fortunate enough to stay with friends at this fabulous resort for a girls getaway recently and cannot wait to go back. Here is her review:

Sooke's location was just far enough away for us gal pals to feel like we were on a holiday. The set-up of the condo we had, more like a multi-level townhouse really, was perfect! Beautiful colour choices, cabinetry and counters, quality appliances, even the hide-a-bed was tolerable!
As others have said here, the television in the living room is a bit small if you were movie watching but we only used it for the music channels - thank you for having Shaw and those choices by the way.

You can park two cars right at the unit and easily and conveniently unload, check in was by the friendliest lady in Sooke I'm sure, directions and instructions for entry were clear. It is clean, comfortable, and quiet. What more can you ask for a nice retreat? You can walk to Whiffen Spit Beach/Park as well.

I have to also say things like water pressure and linen quality were excellent! In fact we all couldn't believe how amazing the linens felt and smelled! Like they'd been hung out in the spring air - seriously! Also appreciated the shampoo's and lotions from Bath and BodyWorks I think it was.

We cannot wait to go back there again one day.

I decided to take my nephew and son out on a boat ride. Both boys being eight years old, this could have been quite a challenge. The staff were amazing and made the process very easy and enjoyable. The boat was fabulous and the price… I should not be saying this as they may increase the prices… was unbelievably affordable. I recently rented a boat on lake Tahoe for four times the price. We had a great time going out to Race Rocks and out along the shoreline. We caught 4 cod and had a salmon on but lost it. We saw seals, sea lions, otters, Bald Eagles and even some Killer Whales. What a great experience. This was a trip the boys will cherish for many years to come… and daddy's wallet was minimally impacted. :)

Rented 2 bedroom condo, paid $250 night for 2 nights, book on hotels.com. The condo is high quality. The upstairs bedroom is excellent with a nice view to the docks off the balcony. Main level has tv and home theatre, however the tv is small for the size of the room. You can rent dvds for $2 in the lobby. There is a BBQ on the main balcony which is awesome. Some of the condos on the property are owned. Thus, I am guessing the ones not closest to the harbour are up for rent. We had condo 145 which was close to the highway. Hot tub is outside which is a very short walk away. There are two hot tubs on the property. It would have been nice to have a pool on the property. Sooke is isolated compared to Victoria. Two grocery stores in town if you decide to cook. Grocery prices are pretty reasonable. Nothing within walkable distance, so you have to drive. Recommend a vist to botanical beach in Port Renfrew (1 hour drive). If I were to visit Sooke, I would stay here again.
