The decor, music and friendly staff created a very nice atmosphere. It's a tiny spot, but does not feel crowded inside. The food was all prepared fresh and portions were a good size. There were options for gluten free and vegetarian as well as meat and fish dishes. We had the Gyoza dumplings and the salad rolls - great appetizers to start. Two people had sushi, and they thought it was the best sushi they'd ever had (that from the one who loves to eat sushi wherever he goes). The Pho Soup was quite large and tasty. The Vegetarian Red Curry Bowl was good and not too spicy - they can add spice but start at not too spicy. The Vermicelli Noodle Bowls are not spicy. Two of us had the Grilled Lemongrass Chicken. It come with a wonderful tasting fish sauce to pour over the bowl. I loved that the amount of liquid was just right, so it was a noodle bowl and not a soup. The meat was grilled to perfection. There were a couple of different sauces that could be added if we wanted and some bean sprouts as well. The only comment we both had about the noodles were that they had been cut and so were difficult to get to work with the chopsticks for us - but the cutting probably was one reason they were light and not stuck together like I've had in some noodle bowls elsewhere. We will definitely be back!

Great food (spring rolls, sushi), pleasant surroundings and accommodating staff. We wanted to change tables after we were seated and it was handled very easily. We'll return.

We dined here in early May as a second choice given that our initial choice was closed on Tuesdays, Given the high ratings in tripadvisor, we gave the Seamark a try on an off chance and are very glad we did. While the restaurant might not have a great deal of "curb appeal" from the roadway, it makes up for it in a well appointed interior that allows for more intimate dining as well as providing excellent service and great food. We both opted for Thai seafood dishes which were excellent and overall, we haven't a bad word to say about our experience and would make it a point to come back next time we visit this area. Our server was one of those lovely young women who was interested in providing great service and looking after the needs of the patrons - full marks and a bonus for the level of service!

Overall, the Seamark lives up to the high ratings it has received on tripadvisor in our view and we were in no way disappointed with any aspect of our dining experience.

This was our first visit to the restaurant and was looking forward to tasting their dishes after viewing the menu from their website. It was a Saturday night and we had early reservations (6pm). When we arrived the restaurant was about half-filled and became almost full while we were there. We found out that our waiter was helping out as he once worked there when the restaurant opened but was not one of their regular waiters. It seemed that the fresh, flavourful meals which they offer do take time to prepare with loving care, but the waiting time was almost problematic. This was not a problem from the front-end staff, of which there were only two on at the time, but it seemed that the kitchen was struggling to get the meals out in a timely manner. The food was excellent!! We had the steamed mussels in the red curry which was delicious BUT the pita bread served with it did nothing for the dish as the bread was too dense for the wonderful broth. We truly enjoyed having the beef wrapped in betel leaf, a dish we have not seen at any Vietnamese restaurant in the area but had previously had elsewhere. The dynamite roll was tasty. I had the tempura fish and grilled vegetables. The tempura batter was appropriately light and enhanced the food that was deep-fried. I really appreciated having brown rice available as a choice, albeit at an extra cost. The vermicelli noodle bowl #1 was a substantial meal and my wife liked it but couldn't get through it all so it came home…I am concerned about the level of service that I saw this night as we watched one table leave before being served and watched a table of out-of-province visitors wait patiently for a very long time for their meals. Previous reviews seem to suggest that this was an off-night. To the owners, I would suggest rethinking their music selection as did not seem appropriate for the ambience offered. Also, on this busy night, the noise level was a bit trying at times. I think that some fabric hanging from the high ceiling might help to baffle some of the sounds reverberating around the room, making it a bit more comfortable. Although this review seems a bit negative, I am more than willing to return again to give them another chance to impress me as much as the food did.

Thank you for your comments, I think they are quite accurate. I have to say it definitely was not one of our best nights and we do apologize for the slow service. As you noted, we did have an issue scheduling our regular servers that night and one of our previous employees was gracious enough to step in. Unfortunately, he had a few issues with some of the tables, and we had a few issues getting the food out on time. We have a small kitchen and prepare everything to order and choose not to pre-prepare our dishes. A large reservation scheduled for early in the evening arrived a little later than expected and it threw us off for a good part of the night.

We've had many discussions about the music and the ambient noise and have been tweaking the sounds since we opened. It would appear that we still have work to do.

As a result of our performance that night, we will be implementing a few new policies in the hope that we can avoid some of these issues in the future and we will be apologizing to some of our guests that night and doing what we can to make it up to those that we disappointed. We are pleased to read that you are willing to give us another chance and do hope to see you in the future.

We went to this restaurant on Apr 25/14 and our waiter was Chris, wo was excellent. My wife had Udon Chicken Stirfry and I had Tempura Fish and Vegtables and both meals were supberb. This is a relatively small location and if you end up waiting for a seat let me assure you the wait is worth it. It is a new restaurant (1 yr) but doing superb. Keep up the work and our hats off to you for dining excellence.
