“Disappointing!”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

The room was ok, the location is great but please avoid the special offer on dinner and breakfast!!! We were 4 and none of us were happy with what we ordered...my rack of lamb was over cooked, my sister got a snapper that stayed way too long in the trying pan, my brother-in-law left his pasta in the plate because they were very dry and tasteless. The waitress told us that the good cook was on his day off!!!!!!
The next day, breakfast was even worse ; over cooked omelette and bad coffee...do not accept the dinner/breakfast package! Other than that the stay was ok....

We stopped here on our way from Ontario to New Brunswick. Our room was spotlessly clean and quite adequate for our needs. The bilingual staff took an interest in ensuring our comfort. Unfortunately our room overlooked a roof of some sort so our view was not good. The designated parking space in front of the unit was definitely appreciated. We were happy with this hotel and would stay here again.

We stayed here 10 years ago and we liked it so much we wanted to return.
It still has a wonderful view, but now they have remodeled and hotel is much nicer! Totally redone and modern, long balcony walkway with outside dining area over looking the water.

Room Tip: We stayed in a room with a view of the river, the best!

My family and I stayed one night here. Check in was smooth and quick and the front desk staff was very friendly and spoke english. The room was very, very basic, two beds, a tv a little table and bathroom. There was a very small noisy fridge in the room as well. The room we stayed in was pet friendly so there wasn't any carpet just tile. The strange thing about this room was the set up for the bathroom. The bathroom seemed like some sort of addition to the room, it was fairly large but there were absolutely no hooks to hang towels or anything like that. The room was okay for just one night. It was also fairly noisy. The walls seem to be paper thin and we could hear a baby in the next room crying most of the night. Don't think we would ever stay here again.

This hotel sits on a high point overlooking the St. Lawrence and has terraces from which you can enjoy the view, a drink and a meal. The food is good, the service excellent, the rooms functional (with great views) and the facilities extensive. But what this hotel is really about is that it is a third-generation family hotel in which the two current owners (one being the thirty-something grandson of the founder) are totally involved in the business and demonstrate their commitment to guest service by exemplifying it themselves. The staff follows their example. They will turn their hand to any job that needs doing and will do it with a smile in either official language. The grandson-owner gave us and our two bicycles a lift in his own truck to the beginning of the Petit Témis bike trail, so that we could start our bike ride on time. We saw the other owner helping out the restaurant staff at a peak time by taking the used glasses back to the kitchen. Great example of commitment; great service.

I really should have headed the advice of the fellow tripadvisor who said "worst nights sleep ever" TRUE! There was a family of who knows how many who were up at 6am. I heard every shower, every hair dryer, every flush, every step, everything! Enough so that I got up and pounded on the walls. I was livid and exhausted. I didn't even get to my room until 10:30 at night after a very long day of travel. I was looking forward to staying put for at least two nights in the same room. Nope! I packed my bags and was out of there and found a better, cheaper and quiet room where I could sleep!

My family and I stayed a night here and stayed in the Cap Pavilion section of the hotel. The view of the St. Lawrence is outstanding. We brought in some groceries and had a wonderful dinner on our balcony. The beds were comfortable and the area was quiet. I highly recommend.

Room Tip: The Cap Pavilion has only 12 rooms and the balconies are large enough for a family of four to enjoy...
