I ate there yesterday as we were traveling through. Fried clams and fries with a Pepsi came to $21. The fries were frozen, and store bought. With a sign reading 'best seafood in North America', I would expect they would at least have homemade fries. The clams were good but definitely not the 'best', and the portion size would make a 5 year old want more. I can't believe the claim to have the best seafood. Keep driving to southeastern NB for better seafood, even Deluxe Fish and Chips( A fast food restaurant) has better food. This place is nothing but a price gouging tourist trap. They must of jacked their prices because the new highway will close them down when it opens.

I can agree that the prices at Ossie's may seem high. That said, the food here is great if you've just pulled in off the road and are looking for fried fish and chips (or fried clams). Everything is cooked to order and hot when you get it. The food is tasty and eaten at picnic tables. It's not fancy but this still feels like a casual and authentic experience for a quick meal before getting back on the road. Warning: Ossie's does not keep winter hours, so they close for the season at some point in October, and travelers will have to wait until the spring to eat here.

This take out restaurant has the best fish and chips I have ever had. They make their tartar sauce and it is wonderful. I was shocked to see anything negative written about them. Ofcourse there is a wait for your food, this restaurant is very popular and very busy and their food is well worth the wait!!! Anyone visting New Brunswick or driving through on route one should stop here.

Disappointed in the portions and value at this place. We could have had a served meal on the water in St. Andrews for what we paid for frozen commercial french fries and fish. The fish was fairly good but the portions were very small and the fries were just commercial and way too few. The locals say if you want the best takeout in the area go to Comeaus or The Clam Digger. Wish we'd known before.
