Great customer service for suggesting the best photo locations on site. Love that they have dogs in the lobby. Unique gift shop. Close to everything including the beach. Easy parking. Space for kids to safely run.

Two rooms, one a suite, the other a studio room. Our suite was in the original historical part of the hotel, our daughters studio was in the new section. Both were fabulous. Gorgeous decor, we had breathtaking views. Felicia, who checked us in could not have been more gracious, and efficient, just lovely! The hotel is spectacular, the restaurant has gourmet offerings, and less expensive but beautifully prepared offerings also. Not one complaint, the bed, bedding, toiletries, decor.....everything was perfect for our special two night stay. They provided a bed and bowls for our dog as well.

We had tickets for yuk yuk comedy show, which took place at this resort. Our room was very good, spacious, with all amenities one would need. The resort has a family-type feeling with its grand hall with lots of chairs, tables, games, piano that anyone can play, just off the bar area so one could take a drink and sit in this area vs. the restaurant. Braxton's restaurant and bar was inviting and the food was very good. We had a flavourful buffet dinner in the same room where the comedians were going to be, and this allowed us to have a relaxing time without having to worry about parking, etc. We have stayed here in the past during the summer when it is more conducive to being outdoors. We shall definitely return.

I have lived an hour from St Andrews my whole life and this was our first visit to The Algonquin. Friends of ours go there often and love it so we thought we would try it fir a romantic night away. What a beautiful place, the history alone made us feel in awe. We loved our room, we had a king room on the third floor with a small balcony, it was over the courtyard but we could see the ocean as well. We got the bed and breakfast package which was priced more than reasonable. We spent the afternoon in the bar and lounge people watching and enjoyed drinks. We decided to have supper there as well, it was the only thing about our stay we felt disappointed. I think a nice steak dinner should have a choice other than fries. In the evening we went downstairs to listen to karaoke, which was very entertaining.
Every staff we encountered was exceptional and friendly, from wait staff, to cleaners, to front desk. We also did the ghost tour which was interesting. Loved the history of this place, we felt like we were back in time! It was a fantastic getaway and we are going to make it a yearly visit now.

We opted to enjoy a quick trip to St Andrews for our anniversary this year booking their Staycation package. I highly recommend this resort and the Staycation package, it’s been amazing. The package includes two nights accommodation, two breakfasts, a dinner, five drink tickets per person plus a $ 50.00 resort credit. The credit can be used in the restaurant or spa, and trust me the spa is amazing, I just had the most amazing facial and my husband enjoyed his massage.
The staff have been accommodating and friendly, including Sidney and Bentley- the Labrador welcome committee.
We’ve been enjoying this resort for 15 years, it never disappoints.
