I was amazed to learn just how varied and interesting the sea life is on our coast of Canada. Great displays, very interesting, very informative. Hands on opportunities. Great for kids and adults alike.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your visit and happy to report that the renovations made to the lower level and underwater viewing area are complete (just waiting on interpretive signs). We will continue to add to the exhibits throughout the season so that visitors enjoy something different each time.

We went this fall and i was plesantly suprised at all the upgrades that were made since i was there a few years back. The kids loved it...

You do have to be careful if your using your cell phones, ours were hitting the American cell tower causing long distance charges.

This museum has a lot of food for thought for adults in that it explains the research that has occurred here and is ongoing. Most children walked right by. The aquariums had lots to show including tanks where you could pick up sea creatures. There were a couple films that I like seeing. My husband and I spent quite some time here going through the many exhibits explaining things like aquaculture and new findings, the tides, and much more. The building seemed newer and plusher than the exhibits. I particularly like the huge tubes showing the different creatures at different levels. We missed all the shows.

Plan to spend 1-2 hours.

There's clean restrooms and its wheelchair accessible. A small gift shop offers fun things for children.

Do check the opening hours before you go.

I was there for a reception and fashion show in the theatre. During the reception we visited the exhibits. On previous occasions I have been there with children. We were all standing around the touch pool but no one was putting their hands in which seemed strange.

Here we learned a lot about lobster, the lady who did a lobster presentation was passionate about it, knew a lot and if it was only for that it was worth the visit. The fish tanks and the touch and feel the ocean creatures was really fun. Plus the seal show. Go to the aquarium if you visit St. Andrews, you won't regret it.
