Due to poor planning on our part we arrived much later in the evening than anticipated. Staff looked after all our needs including where to get a hot meal in the town of St Andrews. Room was outstanding with a very "homey" feeling. No phones in room so was very quiet.
If your looking for a very reasonable priced place to stay near St Andrews this is the place to stay. Again super staff, outstanding spacious room and quiet.

This was a welcome relief after the crowds of Maine. The hostess was efficient, friendly and charming. The property is neat as a pin. Two queens in a room made it a little crowded, but we didn't mind a bit since we appreciated a good, CLEAN nights sleep in the larger sized beds. Room also had a small writing desk making it easy to use the free wireless, and a very large flat screen TV.

Good quiet location, not far from the main drag, but quiet. Good value for the money.

Stayed one night after excellent whale watching tour. Owners are very nice & accomadating. Our experience: The good: Comfortable beds (a bit firm), new flat screen T.V, mini fridge, microwave, clean. Not So Good: New shower is too small, towels way too small, room was a bit crammed.
Conclusion: Small but clean rooms, good value for Saint Andrews area, would stay again for sure.

Was looking for a clean and economical motel close to downtown St Andrews. The room was clean, smelled a little musty, I have allergies to dust mites and did not get sick. The beds were a little firm and comfy, the shower stall is small, no tub for small kids but there may be tubs in other rooms. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors. There is a courtyard with tables, chairs and umbrellas where the ash trays are located, but again, if your out there chatting, you will be heard in the motel. The check in clerk was very helpful, mapped things out for us and helped us find a restaurant that would suit out family of picky eaters (We recommend Old Tyme Pizza, had a varied menu and huge portions). The price was average for accommodations in the area and the location was great.

My husband and I found this little 1-story motel very charming, with a grass lawn to hang out in front. We could leave our car and walk into charming St. Andrews for meals and to look around, then walk back through beautiful neighborhoods. Very helpful staff, very clean and a good value.

I booked this motel for my family of four (kids 9 and 12) after reading reviews on this website and was not disappointed. The price is high to my mind, but I'm discovering that you don't get anything clean or decent for under $100 out east in the summer. The room was well appointed with two beds across the room and sort of kiddy-corner to each other, plus there were a couple of armchairs and a small table. It was pleasantly decorated and the whole atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The manager was extremely helpful in helping us find places to eat in town - I recommend the Olde Tyme pizza parlor - the food is excellent and if anything the portions are too large! Mostly we look for clean and comfortable and the Picket Fence was both. One warning - I'm over 6'3" and the ceilings are only about 7' - doorways needed to be ducked through and I did bang my head once. That being said, I would very happily book there again.

12 day vacation, this manager was the most informative of all, drew us a map how to walk to town, gave us 1/2 price coupons to Gardens, gave us great restaurant recommendation. Full size tub to take shower in, plenty of TV stations, comfy bed for a great price. walk to town is big advantage , Rossmount is couple miles from town.
