Actual experience supports the reviews of this restaurant. We ate here on the first Friday of Oktober Fest in Kimbereley 2013. The food was excellent and included veal weinerschnitzel, sauer braten, knoedle, wonderful sweet sauerkraut, roasted root vegetables, a fabulous wild mushroom cream sauce, spatzle and, of course, beer. The wait staff were very pleasant and we were able to visit briefly with one of the owners Michelle. Her husband and co-owner Nils was busy in the kitchen producing his wonderful fare with the able assistance of what is an obviously talented kitchen crew. When you eat here, they are true to their word that they don't rush the preparation...but, the wait is worth it. They make every attempt to locally source products used in the preparation of their cuisine. You really should include this spot on your itinerary.
