“Private Retreat and Awesome Skiing!”
Reviewed January 21, 2012

If anybody is hesitating on staying here let me put your mind at ease. The home is a perfect little get away. The rooms are large, immaculate and very private. The main level has a common room that provides a very cozy atmosphere in the evening and superb breakfasts in the morning. Only a one minute drive from an intermediate/expert level ski hill that has enough challenges for any level. We drank our weight in coffee during the evening chat sessions with Anja and Theo. Definitely planning a repeat visit!

What a wonderful stay! For a very reasonable price I had a beautiful room with a duvet, great company and the best travel breakfast ever.
The building itself is charming, cozy, warm and quiet. The hosts were very accomodating and even delivered my ski wax bench to the nordic center when I forgot it at the B&B. I didnt even ask. Unless you like moldy carpets and the stink of disinfectant spray, there is no reason to stay anywhere else. I will definitely be back next year.

I stayed at Alpenglow B&B last December and it was a Great experience. Hosts are really friendly and helpful, and food is delicious. Rooms are neat, comfortable and clean. The house is amazing and has a lot of character. Who would wanna stay in a hotel for this price??? Just go to Alpenglow... !
Also, the best restaurant in town is just across the street.
Finally, Kimberley Alpine resort is NOT small at all (what I've always been told); on the contrary it is a real Alpine resort with lots of good black diamonds runs! Sure the front is more family oriented, but the backside of the resort is definitely for avid and experienced skiers... and don't forget you're in the Rockies, where you'll find dry light fluffy powder :)

Thanks!

Had a wonderful first time bed and breakfast experience at the Alpenglow. Anja's breakfast are a reason to stay all by themselves and the lovely room and comfy bed made the stay complete. Coming off the ski hill to hit the sauna and hot tub were welcome bonuses at the end of the day. Can't say enough good things about our stay with Anja and Theo, they were very friendly and very accommodating even to the point of having breakfast ready for us very early New Year's day so we could hit the road home early. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back to do some hiking in the area!

Room Tip: The room with it's own bathroom and king size bed is perfect for couples.

My wife and I stayed here in July 2011 having never stayed in a bed and breakfast before. We were pleasantly surprised to have so much privacy with our cozy rooms. Everything was clean, the breakfast we got was HUGE to say the least, waffles, yogurt, fruits, eggs, bacon and good company. It's also right across the street from a rustic Bavarian restaurant and only a few minutes away from the ski hill if you are planning a winter trip. I strongly recommend staying here if you are in the Kimberley area.

Last September we (6 persons) stayed in Alpenglow for 2 nights.
What a nice house! Spacious, clean rooms with perfect (large) beds.
We were very surprised about the superb breakfast (although we read the reviews).
Alpenglow is a perfect adress for people who are looking for a clean, comfortable Bed and Breakfast near the centre of Kimberley.

In September, 2011 we stayed at the Alpenglow and can only say GREAT things. Owners
are super friendly and helpful. Room are very nice and we had a large room for 3 adults. Definitely no complaint on the breakfast, it was delicious and changed each day. Also, a real feeling of a Dutch B & B, I felt like I was in Europe. Excellent restaurant right across the street from the B&B. Do go and enjoy the area. Lots to do. Kathy Morrell in Orlando, FL
