“Don't forget to check out the Gift Shop & Cafe...”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

I've attended Ontario Provincial Police General Headquarters (OPP GHQ) many times in my travels, usually to see what's new in the Museum (as it's always changing), once to pick up one of our Rental cars that was under investigation (our customers are always using our cars to get into trouble...), and back in 2009 for the 100th anniversary celebrations!

Don't forget to check out the OPP Off Duty Shopp for your OPP swag (walk to the left once you enter the front doors), and if you're hungry or want a refreshment, check out the Steak Out Café (walk to the right when you exit the Museum).

“Interesting Museum in Orillia”
Reviewed January 6, 2012

I have been there twice , each time with a grandchild. It is quite a decent size, and has several police cars that are very old, lots of pictures, and uniforms and well worth a visit. It also has a gift shop.

“100+ years of Policing the Province”
Reviewed December 3, 2011

A part of the Ontario Provincial Police Headquarters building, this quiet, low profile museum, provides an interesting look at the history of the province's police force, development through its 100+ years, and insight into modern day policing.

The exhibits do a good job of communicating to visitors, the various specialty careers available in law enforcement, and in policing as a profession.

There is also a “dress-up” area for the younger ones. Be sure to take your camera.
