Don't let the outside patio scare you away (local watering hole like), this place is a great gourmet restaurant. Excelent food and service. We will be back again next time we go to a show at Casino Rama.

Great food and service. Glad we trusted Trip Advisor! Very pleasant and interactive dining experience. Waiter was very knowledgeable, accomodating and helpful. Food was delicious and very well presented. We understand why it's ranked #1 on TA.

After eating here on our first night in Orillia, we booked a second night. Our waiter was exceptionally charming, the staff generally seemed very warm and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxing. The chef evidently picked the best ingredients; the quality of the fish, meats, salads and veg was very high.
My only qualm is that the flavours were often quite overpowering, at least to our taste, but this could of course be down to cultural differences. If you're visiting from the continent, it may be a good idea to ask to salt the food a little lighter than usual, since I generally found that in Ontario, they use more salt than in Europe.
The scallops were exceptionally nice, each served with a different flavour which is a very nice touch, but I found that the flavours were too strong for the delicate scallops. On the second night we had a very nice trout, but the accompanying tomato sauce could have been toned down a bit as it killed off the other flavours.
Overall it was a very nice restaurant with good staff and god food.

We had the scallops and mussells to start with a local brew and Canadian vodka. Followed by a great bottle of malbec and then had a delicious burger with a hearts of romaine salad. Service was excellent and so was everything else. Thanks for a great and memorable night.

This restaurant was recommended as the best in Orillia by our hotel. We arrived at 930pm on the Friday night of a long weekend (after a long drive). It says they are open until 11pm but the grill was already closed so we could only have items on the appetizer menu. The ambiance was below average and there was one waitress so service was minimal. We left and had a wonderful meal at Cosmos. We showed up near closing and they gave us excellent service! Very good food too!!

Good Afternoon,

Hope you are having a great Sunday of the Long Weekend. Thank you very much for bringing this to our attention. I have sent you a private message with my contact information, please do contact me. We are as disappointed as you are that this incident occurred right after we departed for the evening. We absolutely aim to stay consistent with our hours of operation regardless if it was a slower evening.
We are open until 11 pm on Fridays and Saturday and without question, our team should have honoured that.
Once again, we are so incredibly apologetic, I can assure you, this will never happen again at our restaurant.
We definitely spoke with our entire team about our disappointment and the incident.

Thank you again and I sincerely look forward to hearing from you,

Sarah Valiquette-Thompson
