“Good burgers - dogs welcome!”
Reviewed August 29, 2014 via mobile

We stopped for burgers and fries. Very good - tasted home-made. From lining up to sitting down at picnic table it took 25 minutes on a Friday noon hour, of a holiday weekend. Nice large park behind, dogs welcome. Washrooms very modern and clean.

Thank 251ceh

“Life's like that...”
Reviewed August 27, 2014

Having travelled HWY 11 several dozen times during the last thirty years or so, we finally agreed to stop at Webers and see what it's all about.

The place is in really good shape, lots of room for parking and nice grounds with lots of things to see and discover for the kids. The line-up for the take-out was not too long (it grew later to about 35 -40) and the organization is quite efficient, almost to the point of feeling like being ''processed through''. Cash only - something that should be clearly posted. A fee based (!) ATM is on the premises.

Once your order is placed and paid for, and you managed to get to the cash up front, the fries are put onto your tray and then you wait for the burger - in our case we waited about seven or eight minutes, by which time the fries were cold, while staff was chatting among themselves; they too were waiting for the hamburgers to catch up with the demand.

Once the burgers were ready and the backlog was cleared I could watch the assembly line process of getting the burgers ready - four at a time - all the while listening to the chatter of staff.
By the time I got our order completed, I was no longer hungry and the ''fun'' of the stop had totally disappeared.
The burgers were quite unimaginative put together, the thin patties were cooked well, but had all the charm and taste of soft cardboard. Since I do not have a reference point of earlier years, I can only suggest that they must have changed suppliers somewhere along the line. There are better burgers to be had.

“Webers just so so....”
Reviewed August 24, 2014 via mobile

Burgers nothing special. The fries sat on our tray getting cold while we waited on the cheeseburgers. When the burgers come up, the girl prepared 4 orders at once like on assembly line. Felt like being herded thru like cattle. Guess that is what you get when you have that kind of volume. Don't see all the hype.

“It's Hard Not to Love Webers”
Reviewed August 19, 2014

We stop at Webers a few times each summer. Every single time it has been busy but the line has always moved fairly quickly. The staff are quick at taking your order and money while you wait in line so when you get to the counter all you have to do is grab your food.

It's really the atmosphere that makes Webers great. I'm not talking about the train cars (which are pretty cool) but rather the massive outdoor eating area. It's the perfect place to stop with dogs, which a lot of people do. The picnic tables can fill up fast so one thing you might want to do is have some members of your party stand in line for the food while the rest grab a table. There's also indoor seating in one of the train cars for those who don't want to eat outside.

The price is certainly right. The five of us are able to eat there for around $50.

“Best burgers”
Reviewed August 17, 2014

Our family of 4 ordered 4 burgers, 4 fries and 4 sodas. It cost $38. Take cash. The line moved quickly. The servers are very fast and efficient. They are very friendly and brought us umbrellas as we were waiting in line in the rain. We would recommend.
